The Hel Beetle is a mob in florr.io. It is essentially the same as the Beetle, except that it has higher health, has the capability to teleport, and spawns in Hel instead of the Desert. In fact, it was the only mob to spawn in Hel before the update that added the Hel Centipede, Gambler, Hel Spider, and Hel Wasp.
Appearance[]
It looks like a regular Beetle, except that it is dark red in color and is a little bigger than a normal Beetle. The pincers on the front are replaced with a realistic mouth with five sharp black teeth that move around slightly.
Stats & Behavior[]
Speed: Like the Beetle, it is faster than base flower speed, but it turns very slowly.
Behavior: Remains passive until spotting a player. Once spotted, Hel Beetle will give chase to the player. It has recently gained the ability to teleport, with a pentacle showing where it's going to teleport.
It has the same stats as the Beetle, but with 1.5x the health.

Spawning[]
The Beetle/Hel spawns exclusively in Hel. It spawns alongside Hel Spider and Hel Centipede and Hel Wasp. Beware while exploring Hel, as swarms of Hel Beetles may appear which can be dangerous for low-level players (especially Legendary and Mythic ones).

Strategy[]
The Hel Beetle is hard to defeat due to its fast movement speed, high HP, high body damage, and ability to teleport directly on top of you. Players should use petals that can slow down mobs, such as Web, Pincer, Heavy, and Mythic+ Jelly (not very advised to use Jelly as it has little knockback against Legendary+ Hel Beetles). When fighting Hel Beetles, players need to be vigilant of other players, since Hel is a PvP zone. On top of that, they also have to be wary of running into large groups of Hel beetles, since in swarms, they can easily overwhelm and kill a flower and also can't be slowed down, as Hel Beetles behind push them forwards. Mythic+ Rubber is also useful as it can provide knockback and prevent multiple hits from a Hel Beetle. Since Hel is a PVP zone, it is advised to use Sponge, which can prevent you from dying instantly to other players.
Its not recommended to grind for Beetle Eggs from Hel Beetles, since they have a lower drop rate that regular Beetles. Players should only grind here if they want to get Mark, Basics or Dice.
Don’t use Powder. Even at Ultra or Super rarity, it will disable around Ultra+ mobs, making it useless against Mythic+ Beetles.
Its also recommended to use Mythic+ Bubbles to dodge teleporting Hel Beetles. But you must react quickly as it teleports quickly, and beware that the Hel Beetle's hitbox extends a bit further front than visual.

Trivia[]
- On June 16, 2024 update, Hel Beetle's stats were nerfed from having drastically higher health and damage that a regular Beetle.
- On an unaccounted date, the Beetles also became able to teleport, probably as to make up for their slightly lowered stats.
- On June 12 2023. M28 changed the name of the name of this to be "Beetle" instead, same goes with "Desert Centipede"
- The message for a Super Beetle (Hel) is You sense ominous vibrations coming from a different realm...
- It also shares this with Hel Spider, Hel Centipede and Hel Wasp.
- It moves as fast as a regular Beetle, and is as tanky as a Soldier Termite.
- The Beetle (Hel) was originally designed to look like a normal Beetle but the color is dark red.
- On 26th December 2024, Hel Beetles used to be temporarily replaced with Buttles, which were Beetles but had butts on the back. This also applies to regular Beetles.
- This was reverted several hours later.
- They also dropped Poos during that time.
- This mob can be spawned by Beetle Egg when used with Corruption.
