Blood Stinger is a petal in florr.io. It is similar to the Stinger with the bonus of having a lower reload time but deals self damage as soon as it spawns.
Appearance[]
Its appearance is nearly identical that of the Stinger, but instead the petal uses a more reddish tint. It also appears that the edges of the petal curve inward, much like a Trap in diep.io.
Function[]
Its base reload time is 7.5s, which is -2.5s of normal Stinger's reload time. It functions like a normal Stinger but upon spawning it deals a certain amount of damage to the flower.

Strategy[]
For obtaining[]
Since wasps spawn in all areas in the Jungle, Blood Stingers can be farmed very easily. Wasp projectiles have significantly high damage, so it is advised to dodge, use heals or planks.
For using[]
Blood Stinger is most effectively used in conjunction with high burst-heal petals such as Rose, Fang, and also with Basil and Yucca. Two Mythic fangs can completely negate the damage dealt to flower by Blood Stinger, so this can be a good combo. Mythic Blood Stinger is best in relatively low damage but high DPS areas, as it has an extremely high DPS of 6.94k damage (at legendary level) per second. Mythic Blood Stinger is very high risk high reward, so use it carefully.
Because Blood Stingers are nearly identical to Stingers, many strategies for Stingers can be applied to Blood Stingers. However, due to the self damage the Blood Stinger does, you should take some notes while using them:
- Avoid trying to damage the mobs with Blood Stingers continuously (unless you use with Fangs), especially if you are using many Blood Stingers or using Yuccas or Leaves for main healing. This is because most of the time, the amount of healing isn't enough before the Blood Stingers spawn after hitting, or the healing petals can only heal the player in certain conditions (in yucca case), not to mention you may take some damage from mobs. Therefore, the best strategy is usually to hit and run, or try to hit the mobs with your other petals until your health is about to be full before hitting with Blood Stingers again.
- Also, because of this, Blood Stingers are very bad in "looting competition", when multiple players are trying to hit multiple mobs for looting (except if the mobs have very high hp, like Ultra+ mobs), as it requires you to hit those mobs continuously to have loots and the self damage may kill you, and they also overkill many mobs, which makes other players have no loots, just like Stingers.
- While Stingers are bad at fighting mobs at the same time, Blood Stingers are much worse, because taking some extra damage besides damage from mobs often leads to death easily. This may also lead you to defend yourself forever.
- Don't use Blood Stingers with Burs. While it's a good idea to use Burs to kill the mobs quickly, it can also kill yourself more quickly, as Burs increase the damage dealt from Blood Stingers, which also increase their self damage. Use other petals instead.
- Always watch out your hp before hitting with Blood Stingers. Balance the time between defending to heal and attacking to kill is the best
Overall, when you use Blood Stingers, make sure to have the healing amount more than the amount of self damage before they spawn (if possible, you can use Sponge or Cotton to soften the damage too), and avoid confronting swarms of mobs to prevent masses of damage.
Garden[]
- Strategy exclusively for Garden areas.
- Blood Stingers can deal with all Garden mobs very well if you can manage your health and avoid being surrounded by them.
- Blood Stingers are good choices for blocking Hornets' projectiles and killing the Hornets themselves, and they are better at that role than Stingers thanks to their much shorter reload and the relatively low Hornets' health. Note that projectiles do not cause blood stingers to deal self-damage.
- Be careful when against Spiders, since while they go as fast as you and you can hit more easily, they can also force you to take more self damage.
Desert[]
- Strategy exclusively for Desert areas.
- Just as with Spiders, Beetles and Desert Centipedes can forces you to take more self damage, and note that they are faster than Spiders. Therefore, having more speed than them is necessary to avoid taking damage from them, including the self damage.
- Try to dodge the Scorpions' poison projectiles, as their damage is usually high enough to make you not want to take any other extra damage again.
Ocean[]
- Strategy exclusively for Ocean areas.
- Beware of Crabs and Leeches, which are fast and can force you not only to take their damage, but also the self damage that Blood stingers do, which can lead to death quickly. In the former case, try to dodge their attack (Bubbles works best) when you are in low health; in the latter case, switch your Blood Stingers to other petals so as not take the self damage anymore.
- All other mobs can be killed easily with Blood Stingers if you can manage your health and avoiding being surrounded by them.
Sewer[]
- Strategy exclusively for Sewer areas.
- Because the mobs in Sewer are much faster than you (except Spiders which are as fast as you and Roaches in tired state which are slower than you in most cases), taking damage from mobs, including self damage from Blood Stingers are unavoidable, so make sure you have good healing petals, preferably Yuccas or Starfishes (and with Basils). On the bright side, since most mobs there don't have much hp, Blood stingers can finish them quite quickly.
- Roaches and Spiders are the most dangerous mobs here to deal with Blood Stingers, since the former can sustain multiple hits from Blood Stingers, and they are fast enough to collide and kill you before the Blood Stingers spawn after hitting, while the latter is fast can force you to hit them and take self damage or force you to run into other mobs. Because the Sewers are very narrow, they can do this quite easily.
Ant[]
- Because of the very small areas of these holes/ burrow/ mound to and so many mobs there, it's strongly advised not to use Blood Stinger there, as you will be made to take self damage every time your Blood Stingers spawn.
- Specially, don't use Blood Stingers against underleveled Baby Termites, Soldier Termites and Worker Termites, or you will take multiplied damage.

- This and Uranium are the only petals to detriment the player. (Powder used to, but then it got reworked).
- Because of the self damage, it was like a Salt and Stinger combination, but the reflected damage is only done to the player using Blood Stinger.
- When you're used to killed by the damage of your own Blood Stinger, it says "You were destroyed by: A mysterious entity" on the death screen.
- On January 17th, 2025 update, Blood Stinger self-damage ability was changed. Now it deals self-damage upon spawning.
