Bone is a petal from florr.io. Its function consists of having an Armor stat which reduces all of the damage it takes by the Armor value. Bone is dropped by Soldier Fire Ants.
Appearance[]
Bone consists of a typical, cartoonish portrait of a real-life bone's appearance: it is a vertically long and curved rectangle with heart-shaped figures in both ends of the petal. Its color palette is white with gray edges surrounding it.

Bone, for the most part, acts as your average petal. However, it wields an Armor stat, which reduces any damage the petal takes by the amount of Armor it has. For reference purposes, a Mythic Spider deals 3645 damage (not considering its poison damage), while Super Bone has an Armor value of 6561, which means that Super Bone would not have taken damage from the Mythic Spider while it deals damage back at the mob (keep in mind that petals do not take poison damage). The petal's Armor isn't reduced like its health is. Armor is the minimum threshold damage taken before health is reduced, making Bone completely immune to weak attacks (for example, Super Bone doesn't take any amount of damage if the value is below or equal to 6561. Conversely, if it takes 6562 damage, its Armor makes it suffer 1 damage, and so on).

Strategies[]
- Despite the multiple nerfs to Bone's Armor, it can still cause a lot of trouble to most enemies, as they simply don't have high enough damage to break Bone. This is not true for some Ultra mobs and for almost every Super mob.
- Bone is best used against mobs with a low body damage statistic, since you will be able to hit them continuously with this petal without hurting it. However, it also can perform well on higher damage mobs, as it reduces a good amount of damage from everything.
- Most players will not use Bones with a rarity below Ultra, as Mythic Bones and below, while sharing the same qualities the higher rarity Bones do, are not as suitable for most cases as they don't have enough Armor to be effective against Mythic mobs, which are the main threat in a good amount of areas.
- The Armor stat really helps against most mobs of most rarities in the game, letting it not die as quickly and continuously act as a shield for the user.
- The best synergy with Bone is Bur, although that synergy is only mildly good, as while Bur decreases Armor, it won't influence in the affected unit's damage output, meaning that Bone will take the same amount of damage from that affected unit whether it has been debuffed by Bur or not (although Bone does end up dealing more damage).
- Bones tend to be strong on mobs which are 1 rarity below the bone’s rarity as it often has more armor than the mob’s body damage.
- Don't trade this petal as this petal is simply same as Coin, but Coin has no armor stat.
Obtaining[]
- Soldier Termites have the capacity to swarm you, while being pretty hard to kill in hordes due to their Psyonic Connection. However, despite their swarming capabilities and shared damage suffered, they have the same weak stats as an Ant. Bone is considered to be the main counter for this mob, as no petal comes close to matching the damage they deal to them.
- While Termite Mounds can be used to obtain Bone, they are not preferred due to their scarcity in Jungle, making them completely outclassed by the Termite section of Ant Hell.
Garden
- Bone's utility is pretty significant for Garden, as even though the main threats are not affected by it severely, it can destroy Centipedes, Ladybugs and almost all Ants extremely easily and it can deal a good damage to Spiders.
- Bones are quite useful for blocking Hornet missiles of one Rarity lower than the petal. However, against the Hornet itself, as well as Bees and Bumble Bees, it will do a slightly worse job, although still being sufficient to counter them.
Desert
- Bone arguably won't work by itself as one would want it to be, as Desert mobs have a body damage statistic too high. Using Bur could help with Bone's performance. However, using three or more Bones in your build will be equally as good, as their damage output will be very good for shredding the mobs anyways, even though they'll receive a lot of damage back due to the mobs' sheer strength.
- As for fighting Beetles, Super Bone can't kill even Mythic Beetles without taking damage, but usually three Bones should be enough to deal a good chunk of damage to them without having to worry about them reaching you. It should be noted that Beetles of the same rarity of Bone have ten times the damage output of the petal itself, so they can still survive for a pretty long time before they are taken out.
- Fire Ant Burrow fights should be pretty easy. The spawned Soldier Fire Ants have moderate statistics, which allow two or more Bones to outperform them (although one still has to worry about their numbers). Even though they have double damage compared to normal Ants, they will still suffer a lot of damage in the process.
- As for Sandstorms, the main problem in fighting them with Bones is surely not their body damage statistic, as multiple Bones can still take them out pretty efficiently. Their danger comes from their movement pattern, which, combined with their body damage statistic, can pose a major threat to you instead, dealing a huge amount of damage and even potentially killing you. Using Disc will reduce all body damage taken from the Sandstorm, while Rubber will let you bounce away from one each time it makes contact with you, and finally, use Soil or a similar petal to counter a Super Sandstorm's pulling ability. After the main danger is either mitigated or neutralized, Bones can do their job as intended.
- Against Scorpions, Bones should perform very well in countering, since their Armor will negate quite a lot of damage of that same Scorpion while dealing a decent amount of damage to them, not to forget that multiple Bones further improve the strategy, while they can counter the Scorpion's stingers. They should be considered for fighting them.
Ocean
- Bone will obliterate Shell mobs and Leeches due to their pretty low HP and general stats. Shell mobs in particular have a high Armor stat, equal to the Armor stat of the Leafbug itself, which can cause both Bone's and Shell's damage-reducing Armor statistics to even out, making both of them take more damage at once from each other.
- As for the other mobs in here, such as the Crab, they're more generic interactions, with Bone aiding you in killing said mobs faster. Be sure to be prepared against a Jellyfish's lightning discharges, however. They're quite dangerous.
Jungle
- Bone's best usage is almost certainly in Jungle, as it can counter Leafbugs pretty well. Although Armor doesn't influence in durability, Bone can even out the Armor from Leafbug, which makes both deal less damage at once to each other. This is specially beneficial as petals can't suffer from almost all status effects (except Dandelion's debuff), including a Mantis' Armor-debuffing peas, not harming Bone's Armor in any way. Once again, Bur can help by debuffing Leafbugs.
- Strategies used to fight Hornets in Garden should be applied similarly to Wasps in Jungle: being kind of good against their projectiles and quite bad against the mobs themselves. One thing to note is that the Bone will not be debuffed each time a Mantis' projectile hits it, as petals don't suffer any kind of debuff or status effect, such as poison.
Hel
PvE[]
- Strategies used against Hel variants of base mobs should be similar to their base variants: Hel Beetles will outperform solo Bones (specially since they're even stronger than Beetles), requiring multiple Bones at once, Hel Centipedes are pretty bad mobs, Hel Spiders should be decent to fight and Hel Wasps are only good to be fought if countering their missile projectiles.
- Bone is a pretty nice pick for combating Gamblers, dealing a nice amount of damage to them. However, it should be noted that a Gambler's Chips may completely evade damage, while its Dice may break it with its critical hits (which bypass Armor). Plank is usually a more reliable petal for killing a Gambler's petals.
PvP: Using[]
- Bones deal a good amount of damage and can shred all players, provided they are timed correctly (most likely through Yin Yang strategies, which are very difficult to master but very rewarding if you do so).
- Bone's moderate stats can break through most petals. However, one of its most useful interactions is certainly against high durability but low damage petals like Corn, who deal even lower damage values to the Bone while taking a lot of damage back at you.
- Bones of a rarity can be very useful against Ant Eggs of one rarity lower because its Armor can nearly completely nullify the summoned Soldier Ant's damage. However, it will struggle against both Beetle Eggs and Sticks, since the spawned Beetles and Sandstorms have a damage value too high for even two Rarities higher Bones to lower their damage by a good value.
- Bones can destroy Moon Rocks of one rarity lower without taking any damage, but it will not work against Moon Rocks of the same rarity or higher.
PvP: Against[]
- Bone is a decent damage petal with a good cooldown. If it hits you, it will deal a lot of damage, so watch out when fighting Bone users. It can also have the capacity of destroying many of your petals, so take note of that.
- Ultra+ Bones can kill you without taking any damage.
- Plank's ability of dealing x20 damage to other Petals will be useful for dealing with Bone's high Armor statistic, with a high chance of nearly or even completely nullifying it. Planks matching the opposing Bones' rarity are recommended for this.
- Don't use Ant Eggs against Bones of one rarity higher than your Ant Eggs, because your Soldier Ants will easily be destroyed while the Petal will suffer almost no damage. Instead, try to bring Beetle Eggs with you, with the rarity of the petal up to one rarity lower than the opposing Bone, since Beetles of up to two tarities lower than the Bone can deal a lot of damage to it while taking some damage back. Sticks are also pretty viable, but their Sandstorm spawns' movement pattern is randomized, thus not very reliable.
- Bur is not able to debuff Bone's Armor in any form. Do not use it against Bone.
- Moon Rock paired with Bubbles can also hinder a Bone user by constantly bubbling and ramming them due to it's extremely high health and decent damage.
Ant Hell
- As explained beforehand, Bone of a certain rarity is useful for killing both Ants and Termites of a rarity lower than the petal, since its Armor value will be high enough to nearly nullify the Ants'/Termites' damage value, while dealing moderately good damage themselves. However, caution is needed against Fire Ants, as their double damage values is enough to deal a higher damage output to the Bone.
- Surprisingly, since two of the three Ant Hell bosses (those being Queen Ant and Termite Overmind) have the same damage statistics as their respective areas' younglings, similar strategies can be applied to fight them.
- Bones can easily kill Ant Egg mobs of the same rarity while taking absolutely no damage, whether they are Ant, Fire or Termite Eggs. This happens because their damage output matches exactly with Bone of the corresponding rarity's Armor stat value.
Sewers
- Flies and Moths have the same damage output as Ants and Termites. In that regard, similar strategies to fight them should be applied here, however, Flies and Moths have a different behavior: both have a zigzagging movement, the former tries to attack you and the latter tries to run away from you once hurt. Unique strategies have to be applied for their behaviour, with the Bone being good against one rarity lower variations of said mobs.
- Roaches have a lot of HP and similarly have quite the damage output. Bones will do a good chunk of damage against one, however, it should be noted that the Roach has a dangerous movement speed, so consider bringing Pincer in your build as well.
- Spiders make a return in Sewers. Treat them like you did in Garden, Bones will negate a good chunk of its damage while dealing a nice amount of damage back.

Trivia[]
- Bone used to be dropped by Soldier Termites instead of Solder Fire Ants. This change was made in order to make more players grind Soldier Fire Ants.
- Bone's Armor stat is similar to the Armor stat of Leafbug. However, Leafbug does not drop Bone, although it does drop Root, which gives its user Armor. Soldier Termite drops Bone, but they don't have their armor buffed.
- The fact that Bone has an Armor stat that reduces damage is a reference to real-life chemistry behind real-life bones: elements such as Calcium make them strong and sturdy (like in-game Bone's description), which is reflected by the Armor stat of in-game Bone.
- Bone used to completely tank mobs 1 rarity below, however, it got nerfed so that Bone currently only tanks 2 rarities below. Said nerf happened in an unknown date, as it was unannounced in the Changelog.
- Bone's Armor value of all rarities was also nerfed by 25%, meaning that Common Bone had 4 Armor, Unusual Bone had 12 Armor, and so on.
- Bone, Bur and Root are the only petals who work around the Armor statistic. More specifically, Bone has an Armor statistic itself, Bur decreases a mob's Armor statistic once it hits the mob and Root gives you an Armor statistic whenever you're in the defensive position.
- Bone is the only petal with an Armor statistic itself.
- Bone of any given rarity has the same Armor value as Ant, Fire Ant and Termite Eggs' damage output of the same rarity (for example, Super Bones have a 6,561 Armor value, whereas all three Eggs of the same rarity deal 6,561 damage to opponents). This means that Bone will take no damage to it, while Ant, Fire Ant and Termite Eggs do just about the damage needed to completely be nullified by the petal.
- The existence of Bone implies that both flowers and mobs (or at least Soldier Termites, since they drop this) are made of bones, among other things. This theory can further be strengthened by Corruption, which implies the existence of skulls (at least in flowers/Gamblers).
- Since petals don't suffer from status effects (excluding healing petals under Dandelion's debuff), Bone's Armor isn't affected by Bur or a Mantis pea once both of them manage to hit the petal.
- Bone is simply a Coin with armor. Every other stat is exactly the same.
- Bone is probably one of the most useful petal you can get in Ant Hell. This petal might be the reason that AH3 got more popular than AH2.
