Not to be confused with other variations.

The Jungle Centipede, also shortened in-game to Centipede and colloquially and previously known as Evil Centipede, is a mob in florr.io added on January 25, 2020. They are made of many different segments that are connected to each other.

Appearance[]

Body: Body segments consist of a purple circle with a slightly darker outline. On opposite sides of the circle, the tips of two small, black circles show, representing legs. The segment moves perpendicular to the direction the legs are oriented.

Head: Exactly like the body, but has two antennae that point in the direction it's moving. The antennae consist of a small, curved, black line with a small, black circle at the end. The antennae appear on both sides of the head and point away from the center.

Stats & Behavior[]

Speed: Slow, then medium after being provoked

All segments move forward with the front-most segment, and the front-most segment moves toward the player while targeting him.

The centipede is able to collide with its own body, meaning that the centipede gets tangled up in its own body, impeding its movement.

If a middle segment is destroyed, the front most segment in the new set of segments becomes a head (though it still looks like a body segment).

It has the same stats as the regular Centipede.

Trivia[]

  • The Massive Centipede, a variant of this mob, was added on February 1, 2020.
  • While its drops are Grapes and Iris, both poisonous petals, the Evil Centipede doesn't inflict poison.
  • Around the time Ankh was added, the name of this mob was changed from Evil Centipede to simply Centipede. This confirms that the naming of the Ladybug and all of its variants during the legacy era were intentional.
  • The word “flower" in its description alludes to the Flowers, which are the players.
  • This is one of the two mobs which has four “e”s in their names. The other one is the Hel Beetle.
