Strategies[]
- Bur is beneficial with Coral. Coral, which can be thought of as having 7 copies of itself (Coral breaks into two pieces = 3 pieces in total, breaks again = four pieces, 7 pieces in total), the armor debuff activates 7 times. Author's note: this is just going off of naomi's explanation, please don't smite me QQ -whami
- Coral essentially triples or nearly quadruple its own damage when paired with high rarity Bur.
Obtaining[]
- Sponges can be easily farmed at the bottom parts of Ocean, specifically the small tunnel connecting the low rarity Bubble zone in the bottom left corner with the Mythic zone next to CK and some pits in the bottom area that mix Mythic+ Bubbles and Sponges
Ocean
- Sponges tend to spawn towards the bottom of Ocean, especially the bottom middle region. It is wise to farm there.
- It’s a good petal overall against Ocean mobs except Starfish (no dandelions or burst damage) and Bubbles if you aren’t using Bur which you should obviously pair with this petal.
PvE[]
- Strategies exclusively for fighting Hel mobs.
- PvE stands for Player versus Enemy, which is used to refer to players fighting mobs (like the Hel Wasp, which is present in Hel). This section has to include petals fighting mobs, and MUST NOT include petals fighting other players.
- Coral gets annihilated by Hel Wasps due to their multiple missile shooting at once and it doesn’t help the fact that every Hel mobs has extremely high stats. Generally it’s a bad idea to use Coral here.
- Even in Gamblers fight, especially Super Gambler, when massive crowd of people and squads start to gather around the Gambler, Coral isn’t that useful because it will constantly be eaten by other flowers in the area, which backfires more often than not.
PvP: Using[]
- Corals are good to use as DPS since it's unstoppable when combined with Bur. Unless your enemy use spammables like Sand or Light which can absorbs Coral pieces easily due to the Coral can only hit a once.
- Target players that use petals like Stingers and its variants as the Stingers can be easily destroy by Coral, even its smaller fragments can do the job. Coral's first big fragment moderately good damage also makes it a threat generally.
- PvP stands for Player versus Player, which is self-explanatory. Strategies here must include synergies with the petal to combat other players, and MUST NOT include petals fighting mobs in Hel.
- This section can also be used to describe Corruption fights.
PvP: Against[]
- Strategies exclusively for fighting players that use this petal.
- List the best counters for this petal, including petal versus petal and builds versus builds.
- This section can also be used to describe Corruption fights.
- Coral, as stated above, gets destroy by Sand and Light as they also respawn really fast.
- Healing builds with Salt will also vaporize Coral users pretty fast if they aren’t using Sponge.
Ant Hell
- Strategies exclusively for the Ant Hell zone.
- This section can also be used to describe Ant Hole, Fire Ant Burrow and Termite Mound fights.
- Since the thing only has 1 health, there's no difference between fighting Fire Ants and normal Ants if you can keep a good distance.
Sewers
- Literally makes everything explode when combine with Pincer and Bur.
- It’s especially effective here since every Sewers mob has relatively low HP compare to other areas.
- Flies get reliably nuked due to their low HP and evasion doesn’t really matter due to Coral’s fast reload and the fact it acts like 7 pieces in one.
- Roaches are still a problem if you aren't using Petals that inflict slowness like Pincer, otherwise they're only annoying in large number cause they can push you into more Roaches.
- Moths get annihilated.
- Spiders, not much else to say, use the normal strategies for it.

Trivia[]
- Coral is an inspiration of GiraR's petal concept of the same name. GiraR487 is also known for making concepts for florr.io.
- Coral used to be the only petal that still remains after Shovel is in use.
- This bug was fixed the same day of release.
- Also, this bug caused another new Coral to spawn while pieces of the previous Coral still stay. This cause Coral to deal sufficient amount of damage.
- IMCN was the first person to get Super Coral. He likely bought a lot of Ultra Coral when it was on Shop.
- Theoretically, Coral has more DPS than Sand, Dice and Rice.
- Coral has the lowest HP stat of any petal in the game at just 1, and one of the only to not increase with HP at higher rarities. Another petal with this trait is Bubble.
- Coral price was increased from 15k to 60k (at Ultra).
