Not to be confused with the petal of the same name.

The Dandelion is a mob in florr.io. It fires "dandelion" missiles when attacked, which reduce the player's healing.

Appearance[]

The Dandelion mob consists of a white circle with a gray outline with 10 dandelion petals sticking out of its body.

Stats & Behavior[]

Speed: N/A

Behavior: If the player damages its body, it will spread out all of its dandelion missiles that remain on the body, which will reduce your healing for 30 seconds. If its killed before all of its missiles are launched, they will be shot at the same time immediately after it dies.

The missiles it shoots reduces regeneration from petals or players. This acts the same as the Dandelion petal, with the difference: it is large and does not have regeneration.

Spawning[]

The Dandelion mob occasionally spawns in Garden. It spawns commonly at the southwest tunnel in Garden.

Strategies[]

Dandelion body[]

  • Dandelion is very easy to kill as it has low health, so shooting with ranged petals can easily kill them.
  • Avoid the Dandelion petals that they shoot at players, or try to stay away from dandelions and shoot them out with Missiles, Peas, Grapes etc (basically any ranged petals).
  • If you ram the Dandelion petals, your healing will be decreased by -20%. It might be dangerous if your health is low. Try waiting and avoiding Hornets if you have low health.
  • You can also try killing it with just standing nearby, firstly destroying the missile dandelions, then attacking the core.
  • You can use stingers or other high-damage petals to clear out an arc of the dandelions so you don't get hit.
  • Use Eggs. They can destroy the missiles, then when then dandelion shoots the remaining missiles,go behind the ants so none of the other missiles can hit you.You could also dodge them, but it's harder. You could use Beetle or Sandstorm too.
  • Ramming a Dandelion is a fast and efficient way to get rid of them. However, if you do so, beware not to hit the missiles because they'll reduce your healing, a crucial component to ram builds. Use a normal build to bring it down to about 95% so its missiles get shot out, and then ram the body until it dies.

Dandelion missiles[]

The dandelion missiles get launched when the body takes damage. There's some guides how to tank/avoid them.

  • Dodge the missiles, most are tankable but M+ ones may be dangerous.
  • In case the missile is bigger than a legendary one, be careful, since they deal a lot of damage and have some health. It's better do dodge them, especially the ultra's missiles.
  • Don't get in range (which is normally size of using legendary antennae) to avoid get hit. The missiles despawn when they're out of their range.
  • If somebody deals damage to the petals (in case the Dandelion petals are strong enough to oneshot you), stay at the petal they are with, in case they hit the core, which release all the missiles and kills you unexpectedly.
  • Due to the sheer amount of players and dandelions, dodging the missiles is not easy. To make matters worse, the health regeneration is reduced, making you more vulnerable to Hornet missiles.
  • Nowadays, Dandelions don't spawn as often. This means that it is unlikely you will actually find one and even more unlikely its missiles will hit you. However, beware, because groups of Hornets and Spiders can chase you into a Dandelion... reducing your healing for when you have to fight them!

Super Dandelion[]

  • In Garden, the main danger when fighting a Super mob is not the actual mob, but the many Ultra mobs that spawn around the mob. When bubbling to the mob, it is advised to use Sponge and multiple Ultra healing petals, and have a Lotus equipped in case a Spider hits you. It is also advised to use Sponge when actually fighting the mob so you don't die if anything hits you.
  • If the mob spawns deep in Garden, it is advised to form a "megasquad", where a large group of players stay near each other and clear mobs. This increases the chance for everyone to survive.
  • Because Dandelion is rarer than other garden mobs, there will be very high demand for this mob. This means that high DPS is required for loot, but it also means that the Dandelion projectiles will not be relevant, as they will most likely be gone by the time you get there.

Trivia[]

  • The Dandelion mob was added due to a replacement from Hornet's drop from Dandelion petal into Orange.
  • The Dandelion is the first stationary mob that can attack at all rarities.
    • It is also one of the only 3 stationary mobs that can attack. Others are Rock mob, with its Super ability which summons Rocks based on damage dealt, and the Barrel, which releases poison when attacked.
  • The Dandelion is one of the only mobs that drop a single petal.
  • The Dandelion used to have the same body damage as Basic, now it has 1.5x the base body damage.
