The Digger is a rare mob in florr.io. It is an ally, meaning you cannot damage it, nor can it damage you. They spawn from Ant Holes, Fire Ant Burrows, and Termite Mounds.

Appearance[]

The Digger mob represents the player character from digdig.io, appearing as a cameo for florr.io, having a grey body and black sharp ridges around it.

Stats & Behavior[]

Speed: Normal

Behavior: Unlike other mobs, the Digger will target other mobs instead of players. When there are no available mobs to attack, the Digger's face will change to a smile. If the Digger's health is presumably low (around 5%), its face will change to a sad face and it will run away to an edge and stay there until killed by mobs. If there are no mobs nearby while low on health, the Digger will stand still. Its health will drain over time until it dies even when not attacked, lasting around 3 minutes.

Spawn[]

The Digger may spawn with a 5% chance from Fire Ant Burrows and 10% from Ant Holes and Termite Mounds with the Digger matching the hole's rarity. It is an ally mob, which means it harms hostile mobs and can't harm players nor ally spawned mobs.

Drops[]

The digger drops Cutter and Uranium.

Strategy[]

  • Diggers' HP drains over time even when no mobs are attacking them, so reach them as soon as possible if you are informed by other players about their spawning.
  • You want to be the main one to kill the Ant Hole that the Digger is in, then you will get the loot.

Pre-update[]

  • As the player who found the digger, you can protect it by killing mobs when it is at low health. However, doing this is not advised, as these kinds of players that protect the diggers are known as "Digger Police". They are usually there to troll other players who want the loot, however Digger now takes damage if not in a Burrow, Mound, or Hole, so even if people protect it, you still get the loot.
  • As the other players, use Honey, Bulb, and Clover to attract mobs. There also may be other utility petals to kill a Digger, such as Uranium. If you don't kill the Digger that doesn't belong to you, it will be difficult to get any loot from other mobs.
    • A way to get the Digger out of the corners of the map is to push it with non-hostile mobs, aka ally mobs, similar to the Digger, which can be spawned with Ant Eggs, Beetle Eggs, and Sticks, This is quite difficult due to the Digger trying to push its way back and your mobs protecting the Digger, however Stick no longer works because of a new update.

Trivia[]

  • The first ever Super Digger was spawned in the EU Server at May 4, 2024.
  • Diggers are now possible to spawn on all rarities. This includes everything from Common to Super.
  • The Digger is one of the few mobs that is an ally, but it cannot be spawned by eggs or petals unlike Sandstorm, Soldier Ant, or Beetle
    • The Ants and Beetles spawned from Eggs are considered allies. The same goes for the Sandstorms spawned from Sticks.
  • The Digger is an obvious reference to digdig.io, a game made by the same developer of florr.io, commonly known as M28. The mob's description supports this, as it's not supposed to appear here, because it's from another game.
    • The Uranium petal is a reference to an ore in that same game that players can mine and use to their advantage.
  • Diggers can be slowed by a Spider's spawn webs.
  • Diggers flee when at low health. The code does not account for the borders of the map, meaning that diggers often continuously bounce off of the map’s border when at low health.
  • It is one of 2 mobs referencing one of M28's games, the other being the Square. The Square is from Diep.io and Arras.io.
  • Diggers are the only mobs that spawn in 3 different areas.
  • This is the third mob to have the highest health out of every mob in the game, the second is Termite Overmind and first is Ant Hole.
  • On September 9th 2023, there was a Mythic Digger in Centralia Fields 3 in EU server nicknamed "Jared". It survived for around 15 hours, then it died to a Mythic Bee making it one of the longest lasting Diggers in Florr.io history.
    • After several days, a second one spawned in NA CF3. After many hours of egging the digger to protect it from mobs (much to the annoyance of many), it would up pushed outside of the map. It never died and only despawned when the game updated days later.
  • On December 29th 2023, Diggers were given health drain which made them slowly lose health. this made it so that Ultra and Super Diggers didn't last forever.
    • After this change, Super Diggers went from the longest living Super mobs to one of the shortest living Super mobs.
  • When a Digger kills a mob, you will get drops from it even if you did not damage it as long as the mob and the Digger are in your view.
  • It is possible to imitate a Digger by using Soil/Air and Cutter.
  • Using a Corruption with your Digger will turn the Digger red, turning it against other players and allowing them to attack and kill it.
  • Digger will show damage credit to other mob if you deal sufficent amount of damage to the Hole, the first one to pop a Burrow or the first person enters the Mound.
