Fang is a petal from florr.io added in the secret August 24th, 2022 update. It is capable of healing based on damage that it deals. Fang is dropped by Leech.
Appearance[]
Fang looks like a diamond shape with rounded edges on the two corners in the middle and is crimson colored, with a dark red border.

Strategy[]
- Fang are pretty useful, specially in the late game, where you're either subject to lots of damage or continuous but low damage. Fang benefit from mobs with lower body damage (multi-hitting) so try to fight lower rarity mobs for quick healing so you can come back healthier to fight.
- An useful petal to use with them is Bur. As Bur will reduce the Armor of mobs (thus letting you do more damage per hit), Fang will heal you even more.
- Pairing Fang with the Blood Stinger can be useful as two Fang of one can probably completely negate the self-damage done to you by a Blood Stinger of the same rarity. However, this can be quite harmful against loads of mobs, or if your Blood Stingers are Mythic or above. In those cases, either equip more Fang (which isn't really a good idea) or swap out the Fang for passive healing petals or the Blood Stinger for the normal Stinger.
Garden
- A strategy one could try to do with Fang is getting close to Spiders. If you can handle them and their poison damage, this petal will fully (or almost fully) deal with the damage a Spider deals. Using Lotus to aid you might not be very useful as they'll be destroyed when touching the Spider, causing them not to absorb poison damage because they're on cooldown.
- Keep in mind Fang are not that useful against Hornets and their missiles. It's best if you use passive heals against them, since you'll constantly get hit and pushed back by missiles, not letting the Fang hit the Hornet. If you still want to use it, try bringing Jelly or Plank to deflect or destroy the missiles.
Desert
- Fang fluctuate in usefulness when in Desert. It all depends on the mobs fought:
- Scorpions are like Hornets, but with poison damage, so its way worse to choose Fang instead of passive healing petals. An advantage is that Lotus is good against them as they're ranged, and you can absorb damage from afar. Fang are not really good against them, so support them or completely swap out the petal.
- Sandstorms are quite hard to hit normally, and if you get hit instead, you'll most likely be instantly killed before you even try healing unless you mitigate the damage with Cactus, Disc or Root. Again, it's better to just swap this petal.
- Beetles are just Spiders with no poison damage. Fang will prove very beneficial against them.
- Desert Centipedes may be harder to fight depending on the situation you find yourself into.
- No matter what mob you're fighting, you're better off supporting them or using a more consistently reliable petal.
Ocean
- All of the mobs who damage you stay close in one way or the other. Fang might be useful, but also may not be able to heal you enough to counter them.
- Fang do excellent against Leeches (applies to same rarity or lower Leeches only). They will stay very close to and hit you constantly, but while the Fang do damage against it, you can heal back what you just lost with ease. Using Disc will further improve the strategy.
- It does well against Jellyfish if you don't get overwhelmed by their lightning strikes, as they don't do knockback to you, you can easily get close and damage-heal with the Fang.
Obtaining[]
- As stated before, Fang are one of the best Leech counters. However, if you don't have them (or if you want to try better counters), use Battery or Lightning (if it's a long Leech), Disc, heals with Basil, Rubber and/or Ant/Beetle Eggs (for distraction).
Ant Hell
- Despite Fang not being very significant here (as no Ants here are ranged), this can be used if you really need to both kill the Ants and heal from them ramming you (specially Termites).
Hel
Using[]
- Mix up fighting players and fighting Hel mobs for maximum efficiency: if you can't hit other flowers with Fang, at least you can guarantee hitting most other mobs for some quick healing. It's still recommended to just use other healing petals instead.
- Use Plank to destroy other petals, so the opposing flower has to deal with an open space in their defense which you can use to damage them with Fang.
- Don't forget to bring Bur to heal more per hit against mobs or against Root users.
- Against mobs, Gamblers play more or less the same as flowers, this is good against Hel Beetles, Hel Centipedes and Hel Spiders (take care to not die by the latter, and remember to bring Bubbles against teleporting Hel Beetles) and this is mixed against Hel Wasps (their projectiles could kill the Fang, but nothing too harmful for you, and Fang still does quite well).
- Generally, passive heals are better due to their ability to heal regardless if you hit someone/something or not.
Against[]
- Be sure to try to eliminate any mobs around you, as a Fang user might damage them to regain lost health.
- Wings and projectiles will damage Fang users without risking getting hit by them. While it might not be as detrimental to you as glass petals and such, the healing characteristic will allow the Fang user to survive for longer.
- Bring in Salt with you, as the damage reflected may either mitigate or totally negate Fang' damage heals.
- Bring in Root with you to reduce damage dealt to you (thus reduce damage healing from the Fang user), specially if your opponent uses Bur.
Jungle
- Leafbugs are natural (and perfect) counters against Fang, as their Armor may either reduce damage heals or (like a decent portion of other petals) completely nullify it. It is a must to bring Bur with you in Jungle if you opt for Fang.
- Mantises and Wasps can cause lots of knockback. If you want to dodge their attacks and also constantly heal using your Fang, you should probably use Bubbles or Planks in your build.
Sewers
- Every mob here engages in close combat, which is what Fang specialize in damage healing. Remember that Roaches may damage you quicker than Fang can damage heal and Spiders deal poison damage (bring Lotus against Spiders).

Trivia[]
- It is one of the 3 healing petals that are mostly used in offensive builds, the others being Leaf and Starfish, making them very versatile petals that can fit into a large range of builds.
- This is the only healing petal to heal only when attacking a mob, which is essentially the inverse of Yucca.
- This petal was unobtainable at one point due to the Leeches strangely not spawning anymore, but on February 10th, 2023, Leeches were added back, so this petal is no longer unobtainable.
- This is one of many petals which do great against the mob that drops said petal (in this case, Leeches).
- Higher rarity Fang heals less than lower one probably so they don't become too OP in the meta and can't outclass other healing petals. Fang is also the only petal to have a beneficial stat being lower with increasing rarity after Mythic instead of being higher (the actual healing is still higher but percentage heal from damage dealt is lower).
- Fang's healing damage ability might be a reference to vampires, since they use their fangs to suck blood (which is their "food").
- In a recent (Jan-Feb 2025) update, Fang healing has been increased significantly, for example at Mythic it got increased from 35% to 49%, later to 63% (almost x2 from previously).
- On February 3rd, 2025, Fang was renamed from Fangs, as the petal itself is singular and not affected by Duplicator.
