As with any wiki in the FANDOM website, the Florr.io Wiki has a set of rules that all users must follow. The point of these rules is to encourage beneficial contributions as well as limit spam, vandalism, bullying and to ensure harmony among the visitors and the editors/staff. The rules are more lenient compared to other wikis, but they still exist and punishments will be applied. Everyone who submits and edit or a comment is subject to these rules.
If you break the rules multiple times, you will be sent a reminder (through your Message Wall), then a warning, and finally get a temporary (or even permanent) block. If you see someone violating any rules, contact a Staff member through their Message Wall, report it (discussions) or mark it for deletion (wikipage).
If you don't have time to read all of the rules, please at least read the first two. The other rules are simply specific ways of how you can violate the first two rules.
Terms of Use[]
All users must adhere to Fandom's general guidelines and terms of use.
Rules[]
User Conduct[]
These rules pertain to all areas of the wiki.
- You have to show respect for other users and be civil at all times. Talk to them on a polite and respectful manner. Do not make personal attacks on other people. If you need to criticize another user's argument, do so without attacking. Do not use slurs which relate to racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, etc...
- You need to be a productive editor. Make constructive edits, don't do edit warring, and don't do spammy edits (accidental ones will most likely have more reminders and less warnings). Spammy edits also fall under spamming things excessively, whether it's multiple times on one page, or multiple times in multiple pages. Farming edits is also not allowed.
- Dating and any other similar acts will not be permitted.
- This wiki is about Florr.io. Off-topic content is only allowed in Discussions, in the Off-topic category. Controversial stuff is not allowed, such as political and religious issues.
- Do not advertise. No sharing YouTube videos with the purpose of advertising, no sharing Discord server links, social media account, and third-party content.
- Do not delete staff warnings. You're simply going to get the exact same warning once deleted, and even may get a separate warning. Additionally, only staff can send warnings. Report any rule-breaking stuff to the staff.
- Sockpuppeting, the act of creating an alternate account, is prohibited, unless you have stated why you need to and avoid breaking the rules. You're not allowed to evade blocks or to pretend to be someone else.
Wiki Content[]
These rules are related to the wiki articles.
- Assume good faith. Unless it's not an obvious attempt of vandalism, don't just think an editor is being malicious. Instead, reach them out, tell them what they're doing is wrong, and help them learn.
- Do not add fanfictions. Stories and other stuff can be added in the Discussions section, while fan art can be in the Art category, and fan ideas and stories can be their own page and blog section, respectively.
- Fantasy Idea pages must start with "Fantasy Idea - [Name of Idea]." They should also be added to the category "Fantasy Ideas". Fantasy Petals belong to the "Fantasy Petals" category instead of the normal "Petals" one, and so on.
- Profanity is prohibited on all wiki pages. In other forms (such as comments and blog posts), profanity is allowed, though preferably it should be censored with asterisks. Directing profanity at another user is prohibited. Also, excessive profanity (by spam or overusing) is not allowed.
- Avoid posting inaccurate information to informational pages. There is a difference between misunderstanding and knowingly adding false information. When possible, have some sort of source for information, especially when regarding possible new petals, mobs, or updates. This includes comments. Don't say a new thing has been added in the comments without some sort of source.
- Do not delete information from pages, unless it is incorrect or irrelevant.
- Do not post copyrighted content. Only use someone else's content with their permission.
- Do not edit someone else's Build/Fantasy Idea without their permission. Your edits will most likely be reversed one way or another. Abandoned fantasy ideas can and will be claimed by someone else, though.
- Absolutely no NSFW. Even though children are not allowed to edit, they're still allowed to view the wiki.
- Do not post anything that contains a virus or malware.
Account Rules[]
The following rules are related to accounts.
- You are responsible for keeping your account secured. If someone else breaks into your account, you're the one who's liable.
- Do not use someone else's account unless they have given you permission. If you let someone use your account, please state that you have and beware that if they break the rules, you will be punished. If someone else used your account without permission, please inform a staff member as quickly as possible.
- Do not share other people's account information.
Staff Rules[]
The following rules are additional rules that staff members must follow.
- Do not spam to ask for Content/Thread Moderator, Admin or Bureaucrat. This will greatly reduce your chances of promoted. Choosing new staff members is a democratic process. If you think you deserve a staff role, please submit a description of why to one of the active Bureaucrats on their message wall.
- If you have been promoted to staff, use your powers for the good of the wiki and community. Abusing power will first result in a warning and eventually demotion. It will also reduce the likelihood of further promotion and hurt your reputation.
Punishments[]
The following is a general guideline of what happens after breaking the rules. This is only a guideline. The number of warnings before a block and the length of each block depend on the severity of the actions.
- 1: Reminder. It doesn't count as a warning.
- 2: First warning.
- 3: Second warning.
- 4: Third warning.
- 5: Fourth warning and short temporary block.
- 6: Fifth warning and medium temporary block.
- 7: Sixth warning and long temporary block.
- 8: Seventh warning and longest temporary block.
- 9: Eighth warning and permanent block.
