Heavy is a legacy petal from florr.io. It has a high durability stat but also carries the curse of a long respawn timer. The Heavy is dropped by Rocks.
Appearance[]
The Heavy looks like a black billiard ball, but without a number on it. It also appears to be made of a metallic element (like Lead due to its color). About its shape, it's a large, dark gray circle with an even darker outline. It has a white spot in the upper right section of it, indicating that it's shining.
Function[]
Rarity | Obtainable? | Damage | Health | Respawn |
---|---|---|---|---|
Common | No | 9 | 150 | 10 seconds |
Unusual | 27 | 450 | ||
Rare | Yes | 81 | 1350 | |
Epic | 243 | 4050 | ||
Legendary | 729 | 12150 | ||
Mythic | 2187 | 36450 | ||
Ultra | 6561 | 109350 | ||
Super | 19683 | 328050 | ||
Unique | 59049 | 984150 |
Heavy's main gimmick is its long cooldown timer due to its massive health and moderate damage. Its secondary gimmick is reducing the rotation speed of the flower's petals. Its third gimmick is going less far or less close than other petals when the flower is on attack/defense state. Finally, Heavy resists being pushed around by other things (not suffering as much knockback as other petals), while having a great knockback itself due to multi-hitting.

Strategy[]
- Heavy's huge health makes it useful as a shield, pushing other things away from the user and their petals. Since it also deals good damage against other things (higher than a Corn), it can be treated as a hybrid petal used for both attack and defense strategies. Weak petals such as the Iris or Stinger can be placed behind a Heavy to protect them. Heavy's damage is decent, but its long respawn makes it kind of unreliable.
- Due to its damage and health stats, Heavy (specially at higher rarities) end up being better than Jelly in a lot of scenarios.
- Heavy is a good contender for trolling people, as such, it's advised to stay aware of any Heavy users trying to push mobs onto you. Such activities are toxic and not encouraged here.
- While its long respawn does hurt it, upgrading your Reload Talent can reduce it by a lot, making Heavy more viable on PvE.
- This can be used as a slightly more aggressive Plank on PvE, so similar strategies apply.
Garden
- Unlike other petals, Heavies are unlikely to die to a barrage of Hornet missiles. They can shield or divert their projectiles so you don't have to worry about getting killed by them. Heavies matching the Hornet's rarity are preferred for this, though, and be sure to bring supporting petals in case it ends up failing.
- This can easily destroy Ant Holes, Centipedes and Dandelions of lower rarities and can prove helpful for the same rarity of them, specially due to each mob's special ability (summoning Ants, multiple segments and shielding Dandelions). Spiders can also be kept at bay since the Heavy's high health gives it the multi-hitting effect, letting it push anything on its hitbox every time it hurts a mob.
- Do not rely fully on Heavies to kill other mobs. Instead, bring something like Rock if you want a more viable tank petal, or support the Heavy accordingly.
Obtaining[]
- They're slightly rarer than Rocks but way more common than Moon Rocks. You'll be able to get Heavies pretty frequently.
- Defeating Rock mobs isn't that hard at all, unless it's a Super Rock, in which case you may want to dodge the smaller Rocks, bring in Disc or Relic or burst petals like the Stinger to avoid/deal with them.
- Killing Super Rocks is beneficial due to the smaller Rocks it spawn, thus increasing the frequency of Rock and Heavy petals dropped.
Desert
- Garden strategies should apply similarly here, except that the mobs are slightly different. Heavy also helps killing a Cactus easier.
Ocean
- Heavy can help push and slowly damage Crabs, Leeches and Shells, as they will most likely kill you when they reach too close to your location.
- This isn't as useful against Jellyfish because their ranged attack is not something physical, but rather, electrical discharges (countered with Rubber). Still, this can deal enough damage to kill them.
Ant Hell
- This can help you push back Ants/Termites that are too close to you to avoid getting cornered or ambushed by all sides. This can also help you deal moderately good damage against the Termites' Psyonic Connection as well.
Hel
Using[]
- Iris and Stinger are more useful in PvP than anywhere else, so Heavy does have its uses to protect these petals. It's best used to kill a Light/Deathwheel by nullifying their shield.
- Heavy can be used to inflict knockback on an advancing player, allowing the user to escape comfortably.
- Using multiple of these petals creates an effective shield against any attack, but be aware that the long respawn time may cause giant holes in your defense.
- Due to its knockback by multi-hitting and high HP, Heavies will do good in killing any Hel mob, but specially killing Hel Wasp projectiles.
- Sometimes, its knockback may detriment PvP interactions as it may push the opponent away from your attacking radius. Also, Heavy naturally has a low attacking radius, so using Bubbles or Third Eye to have a better position might help it.
Against[]
- Heavy's weakness is its long respawn timer. Even though it may be mitigated with the Reload Talent tree, it still is a pretty reliable place to attack once it dies.
- Try to use ranged petals to deal with this without getting harmed by the Heavy.
- Use Fasters, Lights, and/or Sand petals to quickly wear out this petal and open a weak spot in the Heavy user's defenses.
Jungle
- This petal is good, not only for shredding Dark Ladybugs, Evil CentipedesFireflies and Termite Mounds and the inside Termites, but also for deflecting Mantis and Wasp projectiles with ease, although the Wasps' missiles will be harder to deflect because of their zigzag movement.
- This can also be used to deal a good chunk of damage to Leafbugs without worrying about its Armor (though using Bur can still be beneficial).
Sewers
- Flies, Roaches and Spiders can be deflected with ease without worrying about dying. However, Roaches are still a lot dangerous even with Heavy, so you're better off using Jelly or Rubber.
- This isn't as good against Moths as Heavies may push Moths away from your attack radius, thus letting them escape.

Trivia[]
- The Heavy has the third highest durability of any petal in the game, and is tied with Corn and the Stinger for second highest constant respawn time. All of these are legacy petals (although this petal has a different name there). The longest constant respawn timer goes to Moon Rock and Square at 60 seconds each.
- A constant respawn timer is one that doesn't change between any rarity. Ankh at Common rarity has the longest respawn timer out of anything, at 256 seconds, while Ant Eggs and Beetle Eggs can reach a cooldown beyond 60 seconds at Super rarity. However, petals like those have variable respawn timers: Ankh's cooldown decreases with each rarity increase, while the Eggs' cooldown increase. Meanwhile, Corn, Heavy and Stinger all stay at 10 seconds through every rarity, and Moon Rock and Square stay at 60 seconds. Since they don't change on rarity, it's a constant number.
- On legacy florr, between February 20th, 2020 (date of its addition to legacy florr) until November 2nd, 2020 (date of Corn's addition to legacy florr), it had the highest durability and the longest respawn timer.
- Heavy, Faster and Light are petals named after adjectives, rather than substantives. They are the only petals to have that characteristic, and all three are from legacy florr.io.
- Heavy and Faster are the only petals to mess with the speed of your petals' orbit. Faster speeds it, while Heavy slows it. Moon Rock has a totally different mechanic, but still revolves around the flower slowly.
- This version of the Heavy is inspired on the Heaviest, an Epic rarity legacy florr with not very different properties from this (sharing the same appearance and first clause of the description, and being renamed during new florr.io). It used to be rarely dropped from Boulders (a bigger and more durable Rock). However, a Common legacy petal called Heavy also used to exist, and was erased after legacy florr was discontinued. It used to be dropped from both Rocks and Boulders.
- On legacy florr.io, Heavy was a decent common petal with decently high HP and 4-5 respawn time (in seconds). It was usually prefered over the Basic and the Fast (which is now called Light).
- The first clause of this is directly from legacy florr, while the second clause is brand new.
- Heavy's gimmick of reducing the petal rotation speed is a reference to how people believed that the old Heaviest used to do the same (albeit this wasn't the case until new florr.io).
- Newb was the first player to obtain the Super Heavy.
