Desert Ladybug is a mob in florr.io that spawns in the Desert. It is a variant of Ladybug and is widely known for its prized drop, Yggdrasil.

Appearance[]

The Shiny Ladybug looks like a normal Ladybug, only with a yellow fill and dark yellow outline instead of the red theme of other Ladybugs.

Speed: Moves at the same speed as other variants of Ladybugs.

Behavior: Neutral, attacks when provoked.

The Desert Ladybug can spawn anywhere, but rarely, in Desert. There is no known yellow ladybug zone as of now (unlike the old world map where the yellow ladybug zone was D4). It spawns most frequently at spawn(1%), however it mainly spawns at low rarities.

Strategy[]

The Shiny Ladybug is a very sought-after mob due to it's very rare drop, the Yggdrasil.
Carrots are mostly used to share and loot Shiny Ladybugs. One important thing to remember is that, unless a Super rarity of Shiny Ladybugs spawn, only four people can receive loot from it. Super Shiny Ladybugs are very rare as well, one of the rarest Supers there are.
Use Antennae and Bubbles to cover more ground.
Kill mobs so new mobs spawn, with a higher chance of one being a Shiny Ladybug.
If a Legendary+ Shiny Ladybug spawns, hit it once with a Mythic+ Missile and go around a corner to lose its aggro. If a Mythic+ one spawns, hit it 3 times with a Mythic+ Missile or once with an Ultra+ Missile to guarantee loot. This makes it so others have a chance to get Yggdrasil as well.
Moving around is recommended because you are more likely to find a Shiny Ladybug if you use Antennae or use the Antennae Talent.

Trivia[]

Most people refer this mob as "Shiny Ladybug" or "Yellow Ladybug", either by Discord or in-game.
- Its description explains why this mob is referred as just "shiny".
A Super Shiny Ladybug has spawned in the NA server in May 20th 2024, making it the very first, and real Super Shiny Ladybug to spawn.
Shiny Ladybugs have the second highest XP Reward in the entire game, with a total of 17m at Super rarity. Gambler has the highest, at 26m at Super rarity.
The Ultra Shiny Ladybug has been found before in Ellne Pass, the map that connected Centralia Fields 4 to Ellne Jungle 4 in World Map before it was removed. The most common theory is that it was spawned by the developer, M28, and didn't spawn naturally.
On an unknown date, M28 made Ultra and Super Shinies spawn naturally, but rarely. This made it much easier for players to obtain high rarities of Yggdrasil.
On June 17th, 2024, M28 spawned 10 Super Shinies in the NA server, but none of them dropped any loot.
