The Lotus is a petal in florr.io. It resists poison damage from anything during the time it stays alive by subtracting poison damage taken by poison resistance. The Lotus is dropped by Roaches.
Appearance[]
The Lotus appears to be a pointy star with eight sharp edges pointing away from the center, much like the Lightning (which has 10 sharp edges). Its color is lavender and its border is closer to a purple shade. It also has a small purple circle in its center.
Function[]
Note: The "A + B" respawn format means that the petal takes A seconds to respawn and B seconds after respawning to do its special action/have its special action enabled.
Rarity | Obtainable? | Poison Resistance | Durability(Hidden) | Damage(Hidden) | Respawn | Special |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Common | Yes | 14/s | 10 | 1 | 2.5 seconds | Resists poison damage |
Unusual | 42/s | 30 | 3 | |||
Rare | 126/s | 90 | 9 | |||
Epic | 378/s | 270 | 27 | |||
Legendary | 1134/s | 810 | 81 | |||
Mythic | 3402/s | 2430 | 243 | |||
Ultra | 10206/s | 7290 | 729 | |||
Super | 30618/s | 21870 | 2187 | |||
Unique | 91854/s | 65610 | 6561 |
Lotus will reduce all poison by its specified poison rarity: this is subtractive (e.g. if you take 2430/s damage as poison with 810/s poison resistance, you will only receive 1620/s damage as poison.). It's ability does stack with multiple Lotuses.

Strategy[]
UNDERGOING REWRITE
- Lotus' usage assimilates to the Sponge's place in the meta: you use it when you want to nullify damage taken per second (to reduce chances of getting insta-killed) and be sure to bring in Basil and passive heals like the Leaf until the Lotus dies. Its recharge is also instant if you upgrade your reload stat enough, which means Lotus will always absorb any and all poison damage. However, unlike Sponge, Lotus is fully restricted to poison damage, which means it's highly ineffective if you're not in Garden, Desert, Hel or Sewers, or using Uranium.
- The most use this has is, as presented, Uranium. Uranium will constantly poison you, and Lotus will help you mitigate the damage you take from it, allowing Basil + healing petals to be more effective outhealing Uranium.
- Overall, the strategy should be: use Lotus when you're poisoned, bring passive heals with you, heal all poison damage dealt to you and then swap out Lotus if it's not needed.
- Most of the time, passive heals with Basil will do the job better than Lotus. They're usually the superior pick due to that. Even then Lotus still has one use case which doesn't render it obsolete when players have access to Basil, which is inside Worms, but this is only the case with Super+ Worms so Lotus is pretty underwhelming most of the times later on.
Garden
- The presence of Spiders in Garden might require Lotus, but the poison resistance helps a lot. It reduces poison damage taken, which will help passive healing heavily negative that. Also, with its indestructible health, this probably give Lotus more usage.
- Dandelions will cripple your healing if you're not cautious. Generally this shouldn't be a problem, but if Lotus doesn't absorb enough poison damage, you could die pretty quickly.
- Uranium is a pretty popular pick, as it can deal good damage against anything here, even if it aggroes dangerous mobs like the Bee and the Bumble Bee. Lotus should be considered.
Desert
- This petal's use without Uranium is restricted to Scorpions. However, it's far easier to counter their poison with Lotus, as they are ranged mobs and can't destroy the petal as often as Spiders can. Still, the stingers by themselves can damage the player a lot, and it might kill the Lotus in the process.
- Using Uranium may backfire on you, as the mobs here are fast and pretty durable, such as the Desert Centipede.
Ocean
- Yet again only usable with Uranium, Lotus performs decently in Ocean. However, aggroing Ocean mobs (specially Jellyfish and Leeches) can be detrimental to you as they will damage you a lot with their abilities.
- Jellyfish's lightning discharges is better absorbed with Rubber, although it may cause you to go into unwanted locations.
Ant Hell
- Lotus here will play pretty much Ocean (with Uranium), but with way less struggle, as it lacks any dangerous mobs, and all types of Ants will quickly be eliminated with the Lotus + Uranium combo.
- Uranium is less reliable against the Ant Hell bosses, so switch both Lotus and Uranium for fighting the.
Hel
Using[]
- Lotus isn't a really bad pick for Hel, seeing that Iris and Uranium are frequent picks for PvP, as well as some Grapes and Pincers. Lotus will help mitigating their poison damage, though it doesn't stop a Pincer's slow down effect.
- It's also useful for when you use Uranium yourself, though make sure to have proper heal builds, specially since you can aggro dangerous mobs pretty frequently.
- Hel Spiders are the only poisonous enemies in Hel. While it isn't that recommended, Lotus will still do kind of good absorbing their poison damage.
Against[]
- Lotus can be exhausted either if you constantly use Iris or Uranium on the user, or if you directly destroy it so it temporarily can't absorb any poison damage.
- It only absorbs poison damage. Other good petals like the Stinger will damage the Lotus user without interference of the Lotus.
Jungle
- Jungle's lack of poisonous mobs (despite the Evil Centipede) makes Lotus, again, only usable with Uranium.
- Uranium is a decent pick but it can spell trouble on you, specially since Leafbugs will resist more to it. Plus, Jungle swarms are generally dangerous, so even if your Lotus mitigates the Uranium, you might die by the pulled swarms.
Sewers
- Uranium is a mid pick for Sewers. It may pull Flies (zigzag movement) and Roaches (speedy if healthy) onto you, causing you to die, and it can cause Moths to run away from you.
- Spiders return in Sewers, so Lotus isn't a totally bad pick and can hold its ground independently from Uranium.
Obtaining[]
- Roaches can be very dangerous if their HP isn't quickly depleted. Using glass petals like a Stinger will quickly exhaust its speed, making it less dangerous.
- Using Jelly to push the Roach or Rubber to push yourself will keep the mob away from you.
- As a hybrid between the two strategies, Corn and Heavy can push them away while dealing decent damage.
- If you do happen to get rammed, attempt to use Cactus (gives you more HP to fight), Cutter (deals more body damage to the Roach) and/or Salt (reflects some of the body damage if their rarities match) to help mitigate the danger.

Trivia[]
- With the recent Sponge nerf that removed its ability to absorb poison damage, Lotus is the only petal that can effectively absorb poison damage as of now, the other two are Cotton and Magic Cotton.
- Lotus, Cotton, Magic Cotton, Rubber and Sponge are the only petals who can absorb damage. While the former five divert their respective absorbed damage to the petals (who take damage), Sponge absorbs it but slowly deals said damage to the player.
- On 1/1/2025, Lotus was changed its ability (absorb poison): from absorb the poison damage taken to resist poison damage taken.
- This petal is one of the petals that reduces Salt effectiveness.
- Despite having no damage stats, Lotus still deals actual damage to mobs.
