Moon Rock, shortened in-game to just Moon, is an extremely rare petal in florr.io that was added on May 30th, 2024. Moon is dropped from Rock mobs.

Appearance[]

The Moon is a cartoonish resemeblance to its real life counterpart; it consists of a large gray circle, with a smaller darker gray outline, with a much light gray circles that appear in the body (appearing as blobs), and sometimes with dark gray circles.

Moon can change its visual when it respawns: the spots on it will be randomly placed.

Strategy[]

Moon Rock has extremely high health but low damage, very low speed and reload, making it time-consuming for a Moon to spawn. If Moon is used with multiple fasters, it will push mobs away from the player having Moon Rock in their inventory, making a tanky shield for flowers to enter. It is useful against ranged mobs as it provides a good shield. It is slightly weaker than an Egg of the next rarity, but as it stays practically still it's a powerful shield for flowers. You can also use Uranium with Moon Rock where the Moon Rock will spin around you while also dropping Uranium, protecting you from Mobs even better, but be careful to use a small amount of uranium or uranium which rarity isn't high enough to be able to kill you.

Moon is best used with Bubbles as they can propel the Moon quickly, allowing it to be treated like a bigger, stronger and tankier flower.

Using this to fight Unique mobs can decrease your chances of dying.

Obtaining[]

  • Moon Rocks can only be obtained from Ultra+ Rocks with an extremely low chance of dropping, making it extremely difficult to obtain.
  • The best way to farm for Moon Rocks is by hunting Super Rocks since they have higher chance of dropping than from Ultra rocks. Also, it can spawn more Ultra Rocks which can drop Moon as well, but it still isn't easy to obtain as it only has a 0.5% chance of dropping. You will need to be very lucky if you want to obtain the Moon.

Garden

  • It is excellent for protecting yourself from missiles from Hornets, or other higher rarity mobs that you might find due to its high health.

Desert

  • Same as above, but the missiles shot from Scorpion are poisonous.

Ocean

  • It can be used to protect from a swarm of mobs.
  • Can be used to prevent damage if a Crab charges at you

Ant Hell

  • Using Fasters will speed up the speed of Moon Rocks, allowing you to make a shield from Mythic+ ants.
  • Fire Ants have double the body damage, which may destroy your Moon in just minutes.

Hel

  • Is great for defending from the blasts from the Hel Beetles especially from higher rarity ones
  • Moon Rocks are a good counter to protect from Hel mobs or flowers that may try to kill you, but it isn't effective against people with high rarity petals that will easily destroy them in seconds.

Using[]

  • It can be very useful with Bubbles as they can propel the Moon and make it ram other flowers.
  • The high health from The Moon can be a very good petal for defending against mobs with high damage
  • It is by far one of the best petals if you also use Cutter that is of similar rarity

Against[]

  • To destroy the enemies' Moon Rock, using Stingers, Tomatoes or Dice can easily damage the HP of Moon, Damaging it over time.
  • Bones of one rarity higher can destroy the Moon Rock without taking any damage, but you must still be careful. The Bone will not instantly destroy the Moon Rock due to it's extremely high health, and Bubbles might hinder you even more by making it constantly ram you. Also, Bones will not work against Moon Rocks of the same rarity or higher.
  • Planks of high rarity can deal heavy damage to the Moon due to the extra damage it can do to petals.
  • Moon has a very long respawn timer, so once you manage to destroy it, try to kill the Moon user as fast as possible before the Moon respawns.
  • Be careful if the Moon is used with Bubbles, they will propel it straight towards you, causing it to ram and deal a lot of damage.

Jungle

  • Moon can block Wasp's missiles and Mantis' peas. It will not be affected by the Mantis' Armor debuff. However, it's not useful against Leafbugs, due to their armor.

Sewers

  • Good against Roaches due to its high HP and pushing capabilities.

Trivia[]

  • Moon has the second lowest drop rate out of any petal with only 0.001% (1/100,000) from Ultra Rock, only being outclassed by Mimic with a 0.0002% (1/500,000) from Ultra Mecha Flower and Ultra Mark with a 0.0002% of being dropped by the Ultra Hel Centipede.
    • If all of Hel Centipede segments drop rates are counted, technically the Moon Rock will have the rarest drop rate (0.001% chance to be dropped from a Rock Mob) compared to the technical 0.002% chance of an Ultra Mark being dropped by an Ultra Hel Centipede. However, the Mimic will still be more rarer than the Moon drop.
    • Generally, Moon Rock is by far one of the rarest petals ever, being even rarer than Yggdrasil, and even being as rare as Square.
  • Moon, Compass, Corruption and Mimic are the one of the only petals that start at Ultra rarity.
    • Unlike Compass and pretty much any other petal, the Super Rock's drop rates will still have a very low chance of dropping Ultra Moon, while all other petals' Ultra variations have an increased chance of being dropped by Super mobs.
  • It has the same reload time as Square.
  • The Moon is the largest petal out of every petals in the game.
    • Moon Rock is about 7 times larger than the Flower without using Soil or Air.
  • It has the highest HP out of any petal (with over 32m HP at Unique rarity, higher than every single Ultra Mob).
    • Moon's base health is 1000x more than its base damage.
