The Oracle is a Special Entity that can be found in Ocean.
Appearance[]
The Oracle appears as a large yellow Digger equipped the Tentacle cutter skin and the All-Seeing face skin. It is quite large, approximately the size of a Rare+ Sponge.
When the Oracle moves, it slowly drifts around in a sine wave motion, periodically switching directions like Jellyfish.
Function[]
When you get close to it or touch it, your crafting menu will turn blue. Then you can insert a number of petals and you will get at least one guaranteed craft. The amount of petals inserted will increase with the rarity of petal crafted. It has a cooldown of 28 minutes after crafting.
The Oracle speaks of a certain "price" for each craft.
Rarity Crafted | Required amount of previous rarity |
---|---|
Common | Not Craftable |
Unusual | 7 |
Rare | 11 |
Epic | 19 |
Legendary | 34 |
Mythic | 68 |
Ultra | 128 |
Super | 253 |
The petals required for the guaranteed craft are the same as the petals required to craft a higher tier petal on average.
Quotes[]
There are a lot of lines that Oracle speaks periodically from time to time. Much like the Trader or Gambler, the Oracle utilises the chat feature to communicate. The quotes are below.

Interface[]
The Oracle's interface is dark teal, contrasting the warm color themes of the menus it replaces, like the Crafting menu and the Trading menu. It also has the ability to see all of your petals, including the ones that you have already equipped.
One singular crafting slot appears. Upon clicking a petal that can be crafted through the Oracle, exactly the required amount of petals to craft the same petal of a higher rarity (refer to the table above). All petals will be displayed, even if equipped.
Overview[]
Crafting using the Oracle is completely guaranteed (so long as you have enough petals). However, you can only craft one petal at a time: for example, to craft a Mythic petal, you can only use 65 Legendary petals, as it won't accept more: furthermore, it has a cool down of 30 minutes. To activate it, move within range of the Oracle and press C or touch the Oracle.
The amount of petals required to craft a single petal are below, alongside the average amount of petals received from crafting.
Rarity | Required petals to craft next rarity through Oracle | Average petals gained from crafting (wasting leftovers) | Average required petals to craft next rarity (considering leftovers) |
---|---|---|---|
Unusual | 7 Common petals | 0.76 Unusual petals | 6.04625 Common petals |
Rare | 11 Unusual petals | 0.83 Rare petals | 10.3125 Unusual petals |
Epic | 19 Rare petals | 0.9 Epic petals | 18.125 Rare petals |
Legendary | 34 Epic petals | 0.92 Legendary petals | 33.75 Epic petals |
Mythic | 65 Legendary petals | 0.96 Mythic petals | 65 Legendary petals |
Ultra | 128 Mythic petals | 0.98 Ultra petals | 127.5 Mythic petals |
Super | 253 Ultra petals | 0.99 Super petals | 252.5 Ultra petals |
When the specific number of petals is inserted, as shown above, the crafting chance is 100%. This indicates that crafting with the Oracle is not worth it, unless crafting from Legendary to Mythic, in which case crafting with or without the Oracle give the same average amount of petals.
Wish[]
Every 20 hours, one may ask the Oracle to predict when a petal will appear in the Shop, with the following command:
Note:There is no period at the end,or else the Oracle WILL NOT respond.
The Shop works though changing its petals with each cycle, each individual cycle lasting 20 hours before the petals rotate. There is a system to predict when a petal appears in the shop, though it resets whenever a new petal is added.
Distance | Response |
---|---|
0 | It is imminent |
1 | Soon |
2 | Eventually |
3 | Perhaps some futures are just indeterminate |
4+/wishing while still in 20h wish cooldown | The future is too cloudy to tell |
Trivia[]
- The lines of Oracle are directly referenced from a hero named Oracle on most of his responses from Dota 2.
- You can get in total of 2 achievements from Oracle: The All-Seeing One (craft a petal with Oracle) and It Was Destiny (craft an Ultra+ petal with Oracle).
- As of 5th January 2025, the Oracle and Target dummies are the only flower-like NPC not to have petals orbiting itself. This contrasts other NPCs, like Trader and Titan: Trader has 8 Coins of rarities common - super surrounding itself; Titan, which uses a combination of Unique petals.
- This is the second NPC to not be able to be attacked (represented by the yellow health bar). The first was Trader.
- Some mobs also have a yellow health bar, which signifies invincibility and the inability to take damage. The first was Target Dummy, and the second was Fire Ant Burrow (once all the mobs it spawns are defeated, it despawns and and drops loot to those eligible.)
- The blue color of the Oracle's interface resembles Ocean and the dark blue theme of Ocean. This can be compared to how the Trading menu is yellow, resembling the light yellow/orange theme of Desert.
- When you craft a Super with the Oracle, it will say "I was waiting for this moment". This may suggest that it always wanted to see a Super petal being crafted.
- The Oracle has by far the most quotes out of every NPC.
- The Oracle can't be pushed by mobs. As such, it can get in front of Super Mobs and block their way, specifically the Super Crab, although it cannot go to where high rarity Mobs spawn.
- The Oracle seems to be a reference to the "All Seeing" face and the "Tentacles" spinner from digdig.io.
