Rarities are a key element of florr.io. The rarity of a mob or petal determines what stats it has: for example, a petal / mob's health, damage, armor, etc. There are currently nine rarities in the game: Common, Unusual, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Ultra, Super and Unique.

The hotkey to see the rarity and hitbox of a petal is 'G'.

Petals[]

Petal are affected by its rarity. Not only does the background color of the petal change, but its statistics, primarily health and damage, are also affected, as well as its special ability: for example, how much health a healing petal can heal. Some petals have duplicate copies of itself, like Light, Sand, and Stinger: do note that some petals will only have duplicate copies at higher rarities, like Stinger.

High-rarity petals have particles trailing off from the petal as seen in game. Super petals have lime green particles trailing from their appearance when surrounding the flower. Unique petals will have dark grey particles trailing off from them as well. The colour of the particles matches the colour of the petal tooltip.

Petals that are dropped will stay on the ground until despawned: Common petals stay for 15s, Unusual petals stay for 30s, Rare petals stay for 40s, Epic petals stay for 50s, Legendary petals stay for 60s, and Mythic and Ultra petals stay for 120s.

Through the crafting system, the player is able to obtain higher-rarity petals, besides Unique.

Trivia[]

  • Before the release of Mythic petals, the highest mob rarity was Unique. This rarity had a slightly darker color than the current Ultra rarity, and it has ever since been replaced with Mythic. Only two petals had this rarity: Basic and Square.
    • However, Unique petals were notably bad and only cosmetic/collection petals, as Unique Basic was a Basic with particles/Wing's ability and Square was nothing but a reskinned Basic.
    • When waves first came out, all mobs could spawn in Unique rarity, however Unique petals did not exist. On July 13th 2022, Unique was replaced with Mythic, which did have petal variants.
    • The name was reused for the Unique rarity, which has better stats than the Super rarity.
  • Before the release of Ultra Mobs, Ultra petals first had dark gray backgrounds. After that, they were changed to a yellowish orange, and then changed to their current color.
    • Ultra's original color is Unique's current color.
  • At first, no mobs showed their health bars, including Legendary+ mobs. Next, it was changed to Legendary+ mobs showing their health bars when damaged. Then, it was changed to all mobs showing their health bar regardless of being damaged or not. Then, Ultra mobs gained another huge boss health bar that shows on the top of the screen. After that, Super mobs also got this big health bar at the top of the screen. Finally, Ultra mobs were demoted to non-boss mobs and lost their boss health bar.
  • There was a rumour that Ultra Talented Crafting would be added to the game.
    • This did not happen as all the Crafting Talents were removed.
  • On 14 December 2024, the rarity names were temporarily changed to Ummon, Unusual, Ure, Upic, Ugendary, Uthic, Ultra, Uper, and Unique.
    • Unusual, Ultra and Unique rarities retained their normal names.
    • Later that same day, the rarities were reverted to normal, except every rarity from Common to Super had been swapped around. For example, a Super Baby Ant would say it was Common. Unique was the only rarity not affected by either of these changes, as it had not been released yet.
      • These changes were also reverted the same day.
    • M28 did the temporary change as a joke regarding the problem people having with shortening Ultra petals to U[petal name], as U could also mean Unusual, whereas people who used U[petal name] were called lazy by people who used Ul[petal name]. The debate got more intense once Unique got rereleased, as U[petal name] could mean 3 rarities at that point.
  • Unique petals can be obtained from the Titan.
    • Anyone that got Unique petals before the NPC was added used hacks to get them.
