Strategy[]

Rocks are decent at dealing bursts of damage, though users must be wary of their above average respawn time.

A good use of the rock (and Heavy) is to put it in front of weak, long recharge petals such as the Stinger and Iris. This prevents from getting hurt, allowing them to hit their target. Rocks can be better than Heaviest in this use since their lower knockback prevents the target from getting pushed out of the way.

If a rock has taken a large amount of damage, it can be best for the user to switch it out early, allowing it to recover health while the user doesn't need it.

Similar to Bone, It can deal lots of damage if the targeted mob has low body damage.

Otherwise, it can function as a good petal if you don't have something better like sand or light.

Garden[]

  • Rocks can deal a lot of damage against tanky mobs such as the Centipede.
  • It is decent at blocking Hornet missiles, though petals with a larger hitbox are better at this.

Desert[]

  • Rocks is decent against the Desert Centipede just as it is against the normal Centipede.

Ocean[]

  • The rock deals solid damage, but it doesn't have any other special functions beyond that.
  • It can be used to shield Stingers, which are useful against Starfish.

PvP[]

  • Rock has more use in PvP as a shield petal. Stinger and Iris are both powerful petals with a very low health. Rocks can shield them from attacks allowing them to deliver a devastating blow against the target.
  • As for protecting the player, it works against stinger and iris. It can also block projectiles such as Missiles and Dandelions, but deathwheels will quickly shred through them. The long respawn means that once a rock is killed, it'll be a long time before it comes back into play.

Trivia[]

  • It has the fourth highest durability (with Moon having first) and third highest respawn time in the game.
    • This used to be second, only surpassed by the Heavy.
    • When the game was first released, it had the highest durability and respawn.
    • Rocks used to have more damage but it was nerfed.(Old Legendary Rock Damage-2.0k|New Legendary Rock Damage-1.2k
