Root is a petal in florr.io. When equipped, it gives your flower extra armor, which deducts all damage taken by the amount of armor you have. Example: If you have 100 armor, a mob that does 110 damage will do 10 damage instead (unless not in defensive position). If the armor is greater than the damage you recieve, you don't take any damage, similar to the Bone petal.
Appearance[]
It is brown like the stick, with the shape of a simple mountain which has bumps.
Function[]
If applicable, include: Note: The "A + B" respawn format means that the petal takes A seconds to respawn and B seconds after respawning to do its special action/have its special action enabled.

---|---|---|---|
Common | Yes | 5 seconds | 2.5 |
Unusual | 7.5 | ||

Mythic | 607.5 | ||

Unique | 3156.66 |
The root adds additional armor to the flower like a leafbug, meaning that the flower when colliding with a mob will get a decreased amount of damage to the flower's health. (For example, when a flower collides with a mob with 10 body damage and the flower has an unusual root (7.5 armor), the flower instead of receiving -10 health will get 2.5 health decreased instead.) The armor is only applied while the flower is in defensive mode, and it doesn't stack.

Strategy[]
For obtaining[]
For beginners with only legendary petals, grind leafbugs in the bottom left or bottom middle section of the Jungle to get epic and legendary roots. For late-game pros, grind mythic leafbugs at the bottom right section of the Jungle for legendary and mythic roots.
For using[]
This petal becomes extremely powerful when using in sync with the petals Disc and Relic (with a few other players equipped this petal, rarity doesn't matter). If they are used together, it can make your flower virtually immortal against all enemy attacks up to legendary, and mythic attacks deal relatively low damage that you can survive much more easier, with a legendary+ root, relic, and epic+ disc. Using both together essentially allows you to afk grind legendary or mythics, as long as someone else in the server has this petal equipped. Just remember to grab passive healing petals in this strategy.
Garden[]
- Strategy exclusively for Garden areas, along with Disc.
Desert[]
- Since most mobs in the desert deal high damage, it does not have many good uses.
Ocean[]
- Strategy exclusively for Ocean areas, along with Disc.
Sewer[]
- Strategy exclusively for Sewer areas, along with Disc.
Ant hell[]
- Full Root builds are now almost completely useless since root now does not stack. However, before this update, roots are often used to achieve invincibility, especially in Ant Hells 2 and 3.
PvP[]
Using[]
- Root can protect you against low damage petals, such as Light.

Trivia[]
- After the update in January 12, 2024, this petal doesn't have the stats of its durability and damage, meaning that this petal is unbreakable.
- In real life, roots create a firm foundation for the plant. This is probably why the petal reinforces them.
- Root used to stack a long time ago
