Salt is a petal that was secretly added into florr.io on 11/1/20. It reflects a percentage of damage dealt by foes.
Appearance[]
A white heptagon with a light-gray border, resembling the cracked and rugged shape of a Rock.

Reflects some incoming damage back at the entity that dealt it. For each rarity below the listed rarity, it will reflect triple the damage received - for example, Super Salt reflects 50% against Super mobs, 150% against Ultra mobs, and 450% against Mythic mobs. It reflects 20% damage against other flowers. Doesn't stack with other salts.

Strategy[]
The best defense is a good offense. The salt serves as a useful defensive petal, countering enemy attacks should they damage the user. Not only does this work against collisions, this also defends against ranged attacks.
Salt is best used with Cactus, Soil or Relic (recent) to maximize the amount of damage enemies take, and healing petals to recover lost health from taking damage.
Salt should NOT be used with petals that minimize the damage you take, including Talisman and Nazar (evades damage), Disc (reduces collison damage), Cotton (absorbs damage) or Root (reduces damage taken) and Lotus (absorbs poison damage) as they will also reduce the damage you reflect back.
Garden[]
- Salt is powerful against Hornet since they can be damaged without getting into close combat. However, dealing damage also requires taking damage, so healing petals must be used.
Desert[]
- Salt is not as useful since there are no ranged mobs and the main spawns all have very high body damage. This means that salt can only deal damage if the user makes contact with the mob, which would most likely kill the user anyway.
- The user can't reflect poison to dead scorpions, making it more useless.
Ocean[]
- Same as garden, but with the Jellyfish. The jellyfish can be harmed from a distance if the user lets the lightning strike them. Since this attack never misses, it is a more reliable source of damage.
PvP[]
Using[]
- Salt's damage against flowers is significantly reduced (75%). Careless players can end up taking lethal damage from attacking a salt user. The salt petals themselves can also deal damage, so the damage reflection does not need to be 100% to threaten death.
- Use Cacti or Soil to cause the attacker to take more damage and healing petals to recover damage.
Against[]
- 2 to 3 Cacti/Soil should do the trick. With much more health, you will have a chance to kill the Salt user before you die to your own reflected damage. However, this leaves the attacker open to other builds, so it's best to make this a secondary build tailored to salt users.
- Using a sponge build might work.
- Avoid dealing too much damage at once - this is what the salt user wants.
- Use Dandelions to prevent the salt user from healing, which would prevent the attacker from killing them

Trivia[]
- This is one of two petals to affect flowers without physical contact to the petal, the other being Cutter (since it is worn on the flower and thus can't be touched).
- It was added on the same day as Peas (Legendary) and Basic (Unique).
- Its legacy version only worked against enemy flowers and was unstackable.
- It used to be stackable, up until an update made some time after Salt was made droppable by Soldier Ants.
