Spider is a mob in florr.io added on February 20, 2020. It spawns in Garden and Sewers.

Appearance

A small, brown circle with a dark brown outline. It has eight dark grey legs with four on each side and small gaps in the front and back. When moving, the legs move back and forth in a wave-like motion.

Stats & Behavior

Speed: Slightly Fast.

Behavior: Wanders around randomly, moving a few tiles forward before stopping and changing direction. When a flower gets in range of it, it will start chasing the flower. Spiders are unaffected by Webs. Legendary+ Spiders lay down Webs while moving, slowing down players and allied mobs that go into them. Super Spiders have an ability to lay down very large webs.

Spawning

Spiders spawn in Centralia Sewers. They were removed from the garden biome on January 2024. However, as of the 4/12/2024 update, Spiders now spawn in Garden as well as Sewers.

Strategy

Spiders are slightly faster than you. Use Pincers or Bubbles to outrun or slow a spider as they might attack you if you don't kill it quickly. They are very poisonous, especially the higher rarities so be extremely cautious. Summoning friendly mobs are useful, as they can slow the spider by knocking it back, but they might kill your mobs before it can deal enough damage, so if your summons aren't strong enough, try using other attacks. You can also use high-knockback petals like Corn, Jelly, or Heavy to knock the spider away from you. Do not use Lotus to tank it as it will kill you if not careful. An effective strategy is to use ranged petals, especially in Garden, as range is effective against Hornets as well. When it's paired with Roaches, don't attack the spider using ranged petals or eggs as it might accidently hit the roaches which might be a problem. Instead, bait them away from the roach and attack them.

Super Spider

• The Super Spider can create giant webs and slow down all players caught in it. Use Bubbles to escape the web if you get caught in it.

Trivia

• Spiders used to not have poison damage.
• There is another version of Spider called Hel Spider
• The drop rate of Mythic Third Eye from Mythic Spider is actually 0.025~0.026% but it's rounded to 0.03%.
• Players formely referred Spider as “SPOODER" as it is funnier. People used to often make jokes about the spider's computer crashing or rage quitting so long.
• Spiders used to be in garden before, but they were removed on an unknown date, but they were re-added to garden again on April 12th, 2024.
  • That makes them the only non-ant mob to spawn in two areas
• In early-June, Epic+ spiders were changed to be faster than the player. like their Rare and below counterparts.
