- This page is about the petal. For the mob, see Square (Mob).
Square is a very rare petal in florr.io that is extremely hard to obtain. It spawns a Square mob of the rarity equal to the rarity of the petal.
Appearance[]
The Square looks like a yellow square with a darker yellow outline. which resembles the Square from diep.io, another game previously owned by florr.io’s developer, M28. Square shows appears to be a green color with darker outline at Super and Unique rarity. Which resembles the shiny squares from diep.io.
The petal shown in inventory and hotbar is identical to the Square Mob that is spawned. This differs from Mysterious Stick, Beetle Egg and Ant Egg, which show their spawner (i.e. the egg or stick), rather than the mob that they spawn.
Function[]
Rarity | Obtainable? | Respawn | Spawns |
---|---|---|---|
Common | Yes | 60 seconds | Square (Common) |
Unusual | Square (Unusual) | ||
Rare | Square (Rare) | ||
Epic | Square (Epic) | ||
Legendary | Square (Legendary) | ||
Mythic | Square (Mythic) | ||
Ultra | 180? seconds | Square (Ultra) | |
Super | 1200? seconds | Square (Super) | |
Unique | 3600? seconds | Square (Unique) |
The Square petal spawn a Square mob spawns the same rarity as the petal until super rarity. It takes 60 seconds to respawn at common to mythic rarity making the petal useless for any practical use. The mob spawns once the petal has finished its cooldown phase. Unlike Egg, there is no petal phase in between the cooldown and mob phase. When in cooldown phase, a Square takes up space between petals, though during mob phase, it does not.
Like the square in diep.io, the Square mob slowly drifts and spins. It randomly changes its movement direction when it collides with a wall, like Digger. It cannot be attracted by Uranium or Honey. In PvE, it cannot be harmed by other flowers or their summoned mobs. However, it can be destroyed by other players in PvP.
If a player witnesses a square’s death, it goes into their gallery, despite being a summoned mob. A player unequipping the square also counts as a mob death. The mob drops nothing if it was spawned by a player.
Obtaining[]
Square (Mob)[]
Mob Rarity | Common |
---|---|
Common | 100% |
Unusual | |
Rare | |
Epic | |
Legendary | |
Mythic | |
Ultra | |
Super | |
Unique |
Only the Common Square can be dropped. Unusual+ Squares have to be crafted.
Common Squares used to be given as a reward to Discord users who reported a valid bug in florr.io. Players could use the Florr Bug Reports channel to report a previously unreported bug. If the bug was valid and considered major enough, they would be rewarded with a Common Square.
Before the update that made Ultras permanent, players who had Ultra Basics were given a Common Square in exchange for each Ultra Basic, as the reward for reporting bugs used to be Ultra Basics until it changed to Common Squares. This resulted in kt6543, the winner of the PvP background contest, having 50 common squares, which he then crafted into what would be the first rare square.
Purchasing[]
Unlike other petals, the Square is not available for purchase in the Shop.
Strategy[]
This petal is effectively useless unless you use mimic to get a very high rarity square. You can also use it for several player interactions. Players are often attracted to these, which provides a distraction in PvP or as a trolling technique in PvE modes.

Trivia[]
- This petal is an obvious reference to diep.io's square.
- The super variant of this petal is a reference to diep.io's shiny square. Diep.io shiny polygons are extremely rare and are highly valuable, explaining why it is super-variant only.
- This petal used to be like basic in function and strength.
- This, Basic, Chip, and Coin are the only petals that dont appear in the Shop.
- In Square's case, it is because it will make Square easier to get, thus making the naturally-spawned Square mob useless.
- In legacy florr.io, the petal was one of the two Unique Petals, with the other being Basic.
- The Square still can be obtained, and while Unique Basic technically still exists, it doesn't have the sparkling trail anymore, as that effect was moved to Super petals.
- The Unique Square mob used to drop the Unique Square petal at 100% chance if there were no other square petals on the server. The Square Mob used to not have drops for a long time. Now the Square Mob has drops again.
- Before Super mobs were added, Super square was confirmed to spawn an Ultra Square. It is confirmed but it's unknown if it actually still does.
- Unique Square spawns Super Square. It can be assumed that Super Square spawns a Super Square based on this.
- This is the second petal added to spawn a mob, with the other ones being (in order) Beetle Egg, Stick, Ant Egg, and Magic Stick
- Square, Stick, and Magic Stick are the only summoning petals that are not eggs.
- The Square has the same reload as the Moon Rock unless Ultra+ rarity.
- This petal can only be obtained if you find a natural Square in the wild and kill it. You cannot kill anyone else's square unless you are in hel or factory.
- If you oracle Square, you only need to use 5 Squares.
- It is the only petal to have a 100% craft chance for all rarities (Unusual+ crafts have been confirmed by Skware, who crafted a rare square from 25 common squares. He has a video about the moment on his channel Nexus514). Corrupt0 also confirmed his Rare Square craft on his second youtube channel.
- There are currently no players with Epic+ Squares.
- Any "Epic+ Squares" are most likely Mimics.
- Each rarity of the Square Petal requires this amount of Common Squares:
- Common: 1
- Unusual: 5
- Rare: 25
- Epic: 125
- Legendary: 625
- Mythic: 3,125
- Ultra: 15,625
- Super: 78,125
- Unique: 390,625
- Unique Square is the hardest petal to get, as you will need to kill over 390,625+ Square mobs. Regardless of the rarity, you will only get a Common Square from each Square you kill.
- There are currently no players with Epic+ Squares.
