Stars are the in-game currency of florr.io. Stars can be obtained by completing challenges or by spending real money. Stars can be used to purchase petals in the Shop.

Daily Challenges can be accessed in the Shop. Challenges reroll every 6 hours, 4 mobs are chosen at random (1 for premium players only), the only mobs that cannot appear in challenges are Square, Target Dummy, Gambler and Oracle. Depending on certain factors, you will either get Legendary, Mythic and Ultra rarity mobs for challenges or Mythic, Ultra and Super rarity mobs for challenges.

Purchasing[]
Stars can be purchased with actual money. The first three price options are displayed by clicking the star symbol in the bottom right corner of the Shop. The next 3 price options are displayed by clicking the option "I have too much money." The prices are in USD. You must link your account to Discord or Apple to purchase stars.

You used to be able to watch ads when you went through portals to gain stars with a cooldown of 3 minutes, players could only obtain stars from 30 ads per day meaning only 30-90 stars (depending on your highest petal rarity) could be obtained per day by watching ads.

Premium supporters (players who have purchased stars) were not shown ads, but they could still earn Stars when they went through a Portal or died, with the cooldown of about 3 minutes. Stars were awarded at twice the normal rate, and there was no limit to how many stars could be obtained per day.

- There are 24 hours, or 24 x 60 = 1440 minutes in a day. Dividing by 3, the cooldown players got after obtaining stars, flowers could get 480. This is the number of times players could earn stars (at max). 480 x 2 = 960 (if the highest obtained petal rarity was legendary), 480 x 4 = 1920 (if the highest obtained petal rarity was mythic) and 480 x 6 = 2880 (if the highest obtained petal rarity was ultra).

Stars can be used to purchase petals in the Shop. The base price of each rarity is:
- Legendary: 20 stars
- Mythic: 500 stars
- Ultra: 15.0k stars
- Super: 750k stars
Some petals cost a several times more or less than the base amounts for each rarity. These multipliers are shown in the table below.

On some days, a few petals are sold at a discounted price. So far, only 10% off, 20% off, and 50% off discounts have appeared in the Shop.
Trivia[]
- You cannot play florr.io with a negative star balance. Attempting to play will instantly kill you, with the following message in chat: Your payment for stars was reversed, you cannot play while your balance is negative.
- In order to play again, you will need to buy stars with real money.
