The Termite Overmind is a mob in florr.io. It is one of the bulkiest and most durable mobs.

Appearance[]

It looks much like a Baby Termite, but a lot larger. The pincers at the front are also more curved inward compared to that of a baby ant.

Stats & Behavior[]

Speed: Very slow.

Behavior: Passive until it is attacked or other termites spread damage to it through Psyonic Connection. Will lock onto the nearest player and move toward them very slowly. Any damage taken will be spread evenly to other termites if nearby. While passive, it rotates in clockwise circles.

Like other termites, it has psyonic connection that shares damage with termites. Super Termite Overminds can disable your slots randomly, making any petal in the disabled slot inactive for a period of time. It can disable up to 7 of your slots at once.

Spawning[]

The Termite Overmind spawns in the termite section of Ant Hell. It also spawns inside of termite mounds found across Jungle, with its rarity being the same as the mound it is found in.

Strategy[]

  • The Overmind has a lot of health compared to all other ultra mobs but is very slow as compensation. Stay at a distance from it as it has a higher than average body damage as well. If any termites spawn nearby (especially Soldier Termites and Worms), take them out as fast as possible to as the real danger when fighting the Overmind are soldier termites sharing their damage with the Overmind and overwhelming you, and worms as they are fast and always burrow underground.
  • Be careful not to get crushed if it's passing a tunnel, you can use Bubbles to get a distance away.
  • When the Termite Overmind disables one of your slots containing a strong petal, you can swap out a weaker petal that hasn't been disabled with the stronger petal.
  • Termite Overminds also have Psyonic Connection, which allows to damage other Termites around it to deal damage to the Overmind, and vice versa
  • Do not hide in corners or dead ends as though it is slow, a Termite Overmind can easily trap you when its aggro changes to a different player.
  • Termite Overminds are weak if they are alone. Kill mobs around it first and then you can treat it almost like a stationary mob. All the same, try to fight it in an open area.

Trivia[]

  • In May 10th 2024 update, the description of the word "sees" was changed to "oversees".
  • A lot of people refer this mob as just "Overmind".
  • This mob has the largest size of every mob in the game, with slightly being larger than Queen Ants.
  • It used to have the most health of any mob in the game, however Ant Hole takes that rank now.
    • Diggers of the same rarity can still kill this mob and survive due to having higher damage.
  • This is probably one of the slowest non-stationary mobs in the entire game, along with the Bubble
  • On Ringo's Map in the old World Map, there used to be a yellow text in the top-right corner of Ant Hell 3. It said "chubby boi", which referenced Termite Overmind.
    • It was added in revision of March 5th 2023, but was ultimately removed in April 11th 2023.
  • Before the 1st January 2025 update, the Termite Overmind could only spawn as Ultra or above in Ant Hell. After the Ant Hell map update, they can now spawn in any rarity.
  • This is the first mob that can tamper with your petals, and deactivate them for longer than its reload cooldown. Second was Jellyfish, but instead, it disables all of your petals after getting hit by the shockwave ability.
  • Termite Overminds have 1,000 times higher base health than of a Bubble mob.
