Third Eye is an extremely rare petal in florr.io. It allows to expand petals with a higher attack range.
Appearance[]
The Third Eye consists of a flower-like eye, which can be equipped and appears slightly above the eyes in the middle. The eye is basically the eye of a flower, but spiky edges can be found in up and down respectfully.
Function[]
Third Eye increases the range of the user's petals. The effect is somewhat similar to Pearl, Wing, and (2 or more) Yin Yangs. When attacking, all petals extend much further than they do by default. When defending or in the neutral position, petals extend the same length as they normally do. Keep in mind that certain petals can be expanded since some of the petals will stay in the same place when attacking (not expanding).

Strategy[]
Third Eye can be used to attack mobs from a much further distance. This makes it easier to kill rare mobs that players fight to get to first, such as Bee and Bubble. The extra range provided by Third Eye can also be helpful for surviving mobs, especially ranged mobs like Hornets and Wasps.
Perhaps, the most usefulness of Third Eye's ability is that you can attack the mobs without getting too near and taking their body damage. It also allow you to keep using your melee petals instead of switching to ranged petals like Missiles. Peas, Grapes in combat. For Peas and Grapes, they are still useful to use with Third Eye, because it can cause them to come nearer to mobs, giving them more chances to hit the mobs.
However, its ability is still a double-edged sword:
- While its ability allows the petals to easily hit the mobs well, it also means that the petals will also be easily destroyed as well, making them usually unable to activate their special action. To sum up, never use Third Eye with petals whose special actions require the petals to keep alive and are more important than the petals themselves, such as Rose, Dahlia, Stick, Yggdrasil and Talisman of Evasion.
- Petals with special action like Web, Honey, Pearl, can still be used with Third Eye, but they're very situational.
- Beware that once you are able expand your petals far out, you will be very vulnerable to projectiles, as you will be likely to have nothing block them for you.
The Reach Talent combined with Third Eye will make you expand your petals out even further.
After Ant Eggs and Beetle Eggs were changed to only activate when destroyed, Third Eye can make the eggs activate more easily.
Garden
- It can be used to attack Hornets from a distance, which greatly reduces their danger.
- It can be used to kill bees before other players can get to them. This will make it easier to get valuable drops from Bees.
- Be careful, since it could leave you unprotected.
Desert
Ocean
- It can be useful to kill Crabs and Jellyfish from a distance.
- It could be used to kill Starfish when they are retreating.
- It can be used to hit high rarity Bubbles from behind walls to prevent being attacked by other mobs.
Sewers
Third Eye can help you kill some fast mobs there before it can kill you by ramming thanks to its ability. Still, be careful of Roaches, as they have good hp and very high speed to get to you and kill you before you finish them once you hurt them.
Jungle
- It is super effective against Wasps and Mantis, since their missiles are less likely to hit you.
Hel
Third eye may reduce the risk when killing a dangerous mob, or getting hit by a player. Consider switching it on when necessary, as it occupies a slot.
Using[]
- You can use it for better range, but it might leave you unprotected.
Against[]
- In case the user got some good damage petals, view PvP for more strategies in case that occurs.

Trivia[]
- Third Eye was initially planned to make petal orbit depend on your cursor's position relative to itself. This effect was changed to increase attack range because of its annoyance to use.
- It is one of five petals where the lowest obtainable rarity is Mythic, the others being Basil, Magic Eye, Fragment, and Mecha Missile.
- It was the third petal added that can be worn on the flower instead of orbiting it. The other ones are Cutter, Disc and Antennae. The Relic also does so.
- Before the petal was added, players though it was scrapped and was going to be dropped from Acid Bubble but since the mob can't be found naturally, it was later added.
- Before 27th February 2023, Third Eye was unobtainable through drops and have to be purchased from Shop but however after the 27th February 2023 update caused Spiders to drop third eye.
- The spider dropping Third Eye probably likely references that some species of spiders have 8 eyes in real life. A lot of spiders in real life have fewer eyes.
- The Third Eye also appears to have some sort of animation upon when a flower were to die, forming an 'X' on where the eye was supposed to be. Cutter was the first petal to be able to do this, whereas it stop rotating upon the flower's death.
- The abbreviated term for Third Eye is “eye” or "te".
- Originally (on its release), Mythic Third Eye's extra range was 180 (nerfed 50%) and Ultra Third Eye's extra range was 360 (nerfed ~61%). Since no one had Super Third Eye back then, it is unknown what extra range it gave, though it was probably 540.
- After the Range Talent was released and its range was nerfed, you can replicate the effect of Ultra Third Eye with full range upgrades, making grinding for Third Eye basically useless. After this update, there was a slight controversy in the community due to its changes. Also, it was originally nerfed on 8th January 2024. Despite this change, it is still useful against some Mythic ranged mobs and Ultra mobs.
- A player by the name of XXXXD was the first person obtained the Super Third Eye.
