Yin Yang is a petal in florr.io that was added on February 20, 2020. They change the direction in which your petals will revolve around your flower, and splits petal orbit into multiple orbits. Having a different number of total petals and number of Yin Yangs in your build changes the shape of your petal orbit in complicated ways.
Appearance[]
Appears like a Yin Yang with the two dots missing. The center has a sharper turn than a standard yin yang.
Yin yangs rotate around their center as well as revolving around the flower.

Equipping Yin Yangs changes the direction that the user's petals rotate, and the placement of petals. Even amounts of Yin Yangs make petals spin clockwise, and odd amounts make them spin counterclockwise. The more Yin-Yangs you have, the more layers your flower has. This divides your flowers petals in smaller and larger orbits. For more details, see the table below:
Number of Yin Yang petals equipped | Petal Layers | Petal Spin Direction |
---|---|---|
0 | 0 | Clockwise |
1 | Counterclockwise | |
2 | 1 | Clockwise |
3 | Counterclockwise | |
4 | 2 | Clockwise |
5 | Counterclockwise | |
6 | 3 | Clockwise |

8 | 4 | Clockwise |

Strategy[]
Odd numbers of Yin-Yangs make the petals rotate along with other petals instead of against so it reduces attack but increases defense. 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 Yin-Yangs extend some petals into orbits further away from the flower so it is good for range.
The main purpose of Yin Yangs, especially with the new world map, is to travel quickly between maps. Rapidly swapping a petal with a Yin Yang causes your petals to switch back and forth between rotating counterclockwise and clockwise. When paired with Bubbles, this allows the user to boost forward without having to wait for the bubbles to revolve back into position again.
Garden[]
- Do not use this if mobs are nearby since it'll reduce defense.
- Rapidly swapping a Yin Yang when paired with Rice makes for good DPS against Ultra mobs and Mythic mobs.
Desert[]
- Same as Garden, it makes your flower weaker.
Ocean[]
- Same as Garden.
- Equipping Yin Yangs and a high-rarity Wing could potentially take out a few Jellyfish from far away.
PvP[]
Using[]
- Using counterclockwise rotation makes it harder to use petals as defense, but it makes offense easier. This is the most useful with low health, high damage petals such as the Stinger
- The taijitu build was a death wheel on steroids, with petals moving at supersonic speeds. However, replacing even one yin yang for another petal returned the petal speed to normal (so no healing with this build, unless you're being attacked). The petals move so quickly that the game has trouble moving the petals into a further orbit. As such, range is reduced if using this.
- Now, the taijitu build simply has massive range. It will not spin fast anymore.
- Alternatively, quickly switching in and out the Yin Yang can be a tedious but effective strategy when having to fight other players while attempting to circle them. Equipping Yin Yang depends on which direction the player shall attack, relying to the counter-direction of their petals to maximize damage.
Against[]
- Beware of Yin Yang users with Stingers or Irises. They'll be able to hit much more easily.
- On the flip side, the other player's attacks also gain effectiveness. The Yin-Yangs are also quite weak, creating a weak spot.
- Pair Salt and any health increasing petals on users with Yin Yangs to effectively damage them. depending on the amount of Yin Yangs equipped, they would most likely be killed more easily due to the increase in petal range, which makes it easier for salt users to kill them.

Trivia[]
- It is the only petal to change the direction of petal movement.
- The petal’s mechanics can be abused to create a similar effect to Third Eye’s mechanic. This statement stays true even after both petals got reworked.
- Before the rerelease, Yin Yangs were almost completely useless as it only has 3 functions: one for reversing, the other for stopping petal rotation, and the last one for the super speed effect if the user has 8 or more yin yangs equipped. Now the 2nd and 3rd functions have been removed.
- Full Yin Yang twists as it orbits the flower, like they're 3D.
- Eight legacy Yin Yang petals, known as the Taijitu太極圖 Build, are the only other petal that can increase rotation speed. Using 8 yin yangs boosts rotation speed to about 15.6 radians a second. Compared to the legacy default 3 radians per second, this is a boost of about 12.6 (4π) rads per second. Now, 10 Super Fasters boost rotation speed by 19 radians per second giving a total of 23 rads per second and granting the fastest rotation speed in the game with the Legendary Petal Rotation Talent unlocked.
